People with low self esteem

This post isn't aimed at a specific person per se but rather a trait…

If your self esteem is so low that a person you do not know has an affect on what you do, who are you really? Throwing a pity party and whining about "rep abuse" when someone used it in a perfectly acceptable manner is childish. If you, like certain others, do not like the rep system you can disable it…

Accept criticism regardless of whether or not you agree with it. No one likes big babies.

Who cares what anyone else thinks of you, flaunt what you got someone will like what you have but you have been born as you are just need to be happy you're on this planet :)

I tend to give warnings when people post just to complain about their reputation. When you are offended by the rep messages you should contact someone off the staff.

I would agree with your stance! :)

However, i don't think SOMEONE should take offense so easily.

I generally don't like the current rep system at all, although I think I have said that a few times already.
It's being anonym is hurting more than helping imo.

For example not too long ago where somehow I hurt someone over the internet(here in a thread) he was neg repping others posting my name …

And than there is the on-topic problem where it doesn't really means anything yet people take it seriously.

I mostly use it for mini-pms.

i use it when i want someone to know that i really liked something(achievement, effort, etc) or if something was pretty off-putting(attitude usually).

Only time I've ever complained about a rep is when the comments were flaming and or disrespectful, and I brought it to the attention of someone who has the power to do something about it, like admin or mod. Neg rep all you want, just don't be rude.

Have you ever taken psychology? A person doesn't want to come to a site and get negative comments about themselves. Not saying that I have had any because I don't remember when last I checked my rep lol.

We have guys on this site that are 12 and under -__- which is why I'm saying what I said above. Maybe someone older may not care but with the generation of kids nowadays, pfft the government is opting for an anti-bullying law.. Now if you ask me, they're a bit too sensitive but then again people commit suicide for the stupid petty crap..

If you post a thread about it in the BBQ section, who are you really? I've seen you say on a post before: "Oh I'm not in the mood for a fight/argument so back off". Or something like that..

Then again, my memory is bad so I'm not 100% sure if it's you or not (but I'm pretty positive it is).

Is that not the same thing though? Anyway point is, a lot of kids nowadays can't handle much and it does annoy me that they're so sensitive but meh no point in a thread about it because they're going to feel targeted and bitch even MORE! and IMO, that's worse.

I remember De-repping someone ONCE and my god.. I never heard the end of it so I just ignore that button now lol.

I think offensive reputation messages should be reviewed by the person receiving them. That person should decide whether to contact the staff or not. Of course some rule should be violated or there should be direct evidence in the rep message indicating abuse of the system, but a moderator or admin should help the person getting attacked. Therefore I see no difference between a forum post or a reputation, same rules apply in my opinion. But just don't post it on the forum with any reason. I will just warn you about spam.

I was talking about specific words that not even a 12 year old should deem disrespect or feel bad about… I do see your points though <3

I can't even give negative rep… never could? What is negative rep? And what is rep? What the heck? First I've heard about this stuff and I don't even care! If rep is that blue check mark then why are people so angry? That is so stupid… I just tell people what I like when I give "rep". Lots of babies here I guess. Toss em in the incubator until they mature?
