I was looking into maybe starting some graphic design stuff on the computer. What are some of the programs/setups that some of you guys use?

Adobe CS6 Master Collection even though I don't design anything except button Icons and GUI skins or simple editing.

Adobe Photoshop is the best. Now, is there any programs out there which can put to practice a person that has never messed around with graphics? I need one so I can get used to it but I'll need more than a 30 day trial program..

You would probably need the basics: Paint, photoshop (CS4 or above), Gimp.
Equipment is a whole other story!

Haha what is some equipment? Any good legit cheap places to get CS4 or above?
Corel has some nice graphics programs. For equipment, just get a good tablet like one of Wacom's or something similar.

Legally…IDK, Grey area though, there is always torrent.
When I say equipment, I mean things like Wacom tablets, pressure sensitive, high accuracy, palm resistant thingy ones. Things like the cintiq are very costly though, so probably the one that connects directly to your computer.

Yeah I looked some of that stuff up and it can be costly haha. I think I'll stick with my trust mouse for now. Haha I can "legally" get my hands on a copy of CS.
