I have had 0 luck trying to buy a used dslr at a reasonable price. People on kejiji wanting 450$ for a camera they got for 500$ three years ago ect. But anyway, i'd look for a t2i now that the t4i is out.

Yep, canon rebel t2i. I don't have one myself but have heard good things. Also consider a similar spec nikon if it is more available.

Those 2 brands are pretty much the only ones I could think of. Just learn the prices and try and snag a deal :)

It might be worth checking your local kejiji/craigslis/whateveryouhavelikethatinnj for cameras, but in my experience people ask too much. Also camera stores often sell refurbished ones, probably much more reliable than anywhere else quality wise

BTW, placed a bid on ebay for 2 different, very nice cameras. Hope I get it!
Also, have a seller on amazon, for a slightly lower quality one, but still great. (Backup)

K, so I got it from amazon, used. It is supposedly in very good condition, rarely used, just kinda outdated etc.
Got it for $240, very very happy!
I'd pay that, half what it costs new :). Good deal if it is in the condition that they say it's in.

i personally have a t3i and i love it. im not the sure price used but if you look you could probably find one. i reccomend it!

^^^, I would get the t3i, but it is waaaaaaaay too expensive, way over my range, even used. When I get more serious, maybe then Ill get something slightly more…Sophisticated.

ahh yeah i got mine for super cheap because my cousin works in the film industry and hooked me up. its great for filming skateing which is what i do mainly. i know two people with the t2i and they love that as well. you should check that out because honestly t2i and t3i are pretty similar, ofcourse the t2i is going to be a little worse but if you're just starting out it will be more than enough for you :)
