Weird eye problem

So I recently got back from practice, and I have noticed that I'm having trouble seeing. I can describe it as like having lights covering half my vision, kind of like a wide span of colors, similar to prismatic light or something. I don't feel any pain, but this still annoys me. Should I be worried?

Exposed to a strobe type of light or spent a lot of time staring into a light?
Expose your eyes to a lot of pressure (Close them really tight for a prolonged time, if so you will see black spots sometimes and weird varieties of colour with difficulty seeing)?
Suffer from vertigo or issues of the sort?
What I suggest is wait a bit (midnight where I live) and sleep on it perhaps. If it keeps up or worsens consult a doctor.

Eyes aren't to be messed with, I'd contact a doctor instead of a programming forum if I'd be you :)

I'll see if it goes away in the morning, I'm just a bit concerned as I have never experienced this before.

From past experiences, I would normally agree with you but it's so late that I rather not think for the most part :p

There are no pain receptors in your eye afaik, if anything he would get a headache. Definitely listen to what Zyt3x said. Don't mess with your eye's and go the the doctor's. he might refer you to an opticians, if i may ask, how old are you? also do you drink alot of water whilst training? i know it sounds stupid but this is the case sometimes.

Took two long naps after class today, experienced some vomiting after my last post… bad night. Vision was much better this morning but still a bit fuzzy, I'm guessing I was so exhausted from this week that it just caught up to me. I'm getting this pain like a big headache every time I cough or sneeze.

I strongly recommend a trip to the doctor.

Probably means you have some sort of sickness. Your sinuses and/or nasals are probably going to fill up and you will get stuffed up. This is why your getting a headache like issue.
Sleep will do that to people. Vomiting is from sickness or over exerting yourself. I would say think about a trip to the walk in clinic or doctor if you feel you should or if you have the time. Better safe then sorry!

If you overexerted yourself it could merely be symptoms resulting from adrenaline. I sometimes get this too after lifting too heavy.

First, obviously make an appointment to see your primary care doctor. Tell him/her you have an acute vision disturbance/headache. You should get in within a day or two. If no appointment or symptoms worsen, go to the ER TODAY.

Second, a list of some of important questions to consider (and your doctor should ask all these + imaging for your head like CT)

- Do you have a history of migraine or some sort of headache?
- High blood pressure, diabetes, seizure history?
- Did you get hit on the head?
- Chest pain, shortness of breath?
- Tingling, numbness, weakness, incontinence, gait issues?
- Recreational drug use?

Your doc should tell you but based on what you shared it sounds something like (maybe trauma-related) retinal detachment or some sort of increased pressure in your head. Either way it sounds pretty darn serious and you need to go to a hospital. Tell us how you are doing when you can.

I'll take a trip when I can. To answer your list: Headaches are common for me, my father is diabetic, got tackled a few times during practice so it's possible I got hit in the head and shrugged it off or something, shortness of breath but I'm asthmatic - not great during exertion, weak, felt difficult to walk around earlier, pain in the area behind my neck, drug-free.

Lol I hope you called to make an appointment for today/tomorrow by now. The thing is if it's retinal detachment secondary to trauma, then we are looking at something that needs to be fixed by surgery. I am not sure if you are still experiencing the symptoms, but don't let it go. Of course a licensed physician should take a thorough look at you before saying what it is, but if you want more information here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/retinal-detachment/DS00254

It may just be a recurrence of migraine-type headache (since it commonly involves vision, but so far you haven't described migraine-type of headache history. It doesn't seem like you have increased pressure in your head (aka hydrocephalus, which would involve gait problem, incontinence, and cognitive impairment), but getting a CT imaging of your head might be useful.
