After releasing DemiseHerblore, I decided that it would only be entertaining to try something big. Although I am pretty busy with my work, research and my university classes, I do have large amounts of free time now and then and I would like to do something large to be remembered by.

Script Choices:

DemiseDungeoneerer:
- No Randoms.
- No Profit/Loot.
- Slower Combat Experience.
- Hard Skill to legit.
- Rarely reportable.

DemiseSlayer:
- Randoms.
- Profit/Loot.
- Faster Combat Experience
- Hard Skill to legit.
- Run into Legits more often.

I would enjoy scripting both and I believe I can make either of them work within a couple months provided I learn to use SPS which shouldn't be that difficult. I will probably release the script to Members+ which is why I am posting in the Members section. I will however add an identifier to each script I deliver via request and keep a record of whose SRL Account belongs to each I.D. In the event the script gets leaked, I will be able to determine whose Script it was and may I remind my fellow SRL Members that leaking SRL Member+ scripts to non-SRL members is against the site rules. I will stop releasing updates/fixes the moment the script gets leaked so if you wish to keep my hard work free and available for all SRL Members and above to use and enjoy, please restrain from leaking/reselling my work.

I would like to know what my fellow active SRL Members would prefer out of the options above. Please vote on the poll above and post below with a brief explanation or commentary of the why you would prefer the one you chosed over the other. That being said, my high level account is no longer with me so that might slow down development a bit but my new main is not bad at all and I can easily buy levels and other required items to script given that I am making 30-40M/day with my private work.

I don't see a poll :P

edit:
But my vote will go to slayer.

My vote goes for Slayer - considering you have done such a lot work for that already. I still have the .zip saved on my computer somewhere hehe. Anyways, one of the scripts would be epic already :) Even it is C1 dungeoneering frozen floors only or just the lowest slayer master ;)

Mmh, either way, I would probably work myself up from the ground. Also, don't worry about me having progress done for the Slayer, I am starting from scratch next time and making it the right way from the start.

I voted for dungeoneering.

Pros
  • Skill gets few updates, if we had scripted one a year ago it would be still working today
  • It's good experience even with lower complexities if we can bot it, compared to legiting
  • You don't need to collect anything other than food, opposed to charms etc with slayer
Cons
  • You'd have to have a large database that contains the colors & weaknesses of each and every monster, because after EoC it will be really hard to beat a monster with a style it is strong against(though you'd need this for slayer anyway)
  • Would have to be able to find your way through a dungeon, which is a pain compared to what you could do with SPS with slayer

Voted Dungeoneering as it is my favourite skill.
Seems reasonable too, as there's no interference with outside players whilst in a floor. However depending on it's features, in my opinion, expand to a larger project than slayer. (Debatable)

I hate both of these skills… I've chosen dungeoneering though, since I see slayer being far more bannable. Whenever I train slayer, there are people talking and such, you would just stick out. Whichever one you choose, I suggest waiting until after EOC.

Sorry to say this, but I think both slayer and dungeoneering aim way too high.
Too huge projects for one person to finish. Would be a long shot even with dedicated team. Amount of bugs and errors will in both cases be ridiculous when you finally have something that actually performs the job succesfully once, as it needs to be succesful over and over again.

Im not saying its not doable, but are you really up for it ? Just been here to see so many huge projects halt halfway in after big speeches. Not to mention the fact that EOC probably gets released within the next 6 months, which I'm guessing would mean major rewrites for both dungeoneering and Slayer.

If you have plenty of sparetime in your hands, I would love to see some antirandoms get fixed, would benefit us all.

I got a working Slayer minus the walking and the task getting and the only reason I didn't finish it was because I could not be bothered to learn SPS. Trust me, I can do this. Not saying I am the best scripter, but my skills are pretty formidable seeing as I even helped solve some of the randoms.

I am leaning more towards Dungeoneering since I dont know of the state of the random solver, from what I've seen so far, it logs out a lot, then again, 2 out of the 3 randoms I got were Evil Sister, and Bob Baloons. Although I do think the ban risk is way higher and I sort of dislike the idea of getting banned. Dung has more of the puzzle side to it and I like and enjoy solving puzzles.

On a side note, when is EoC supposed to happen because it isn't really necessary for me to wait, I could code walking, keys, maps and puzzles in the meantime. Same for slayer, there is a lot of work to do besides Combat.

I would fix the randoms but I have been there and done that. I fixed many of them already and to be honest SRL has problems including my raw code and I wouldn't like to see my code get butchered and sew together with random work from others like Coh3n did in the past. I will not code randoms anymore not only for respect to my code's integrity but because I will not receive the credit I deserve.

Its not your scripting skill im doubting, its the amount of time you actually are willing to put into the project. For example, theres only been one decently working full slayer script for reflection/injection bots and that was by perf. It would be a holy fuckload more work to handle the navigations, switching equipment and such without a web like nexus had, hell nexus made it very easy to do things, not to mention the fact that things are alot more easier to do with reflection/injection to begin with. Thats not how it works with color, what you have in your reach with color is by far less reliable, which means you have to failsafe, failsafe, failsafe some more and then add some more failsafes after that. Its gonna be one hell of a long task. The actual fighting the monsters is the easy part.

Why I bolded out word decently? That would be because theres absolutely no point in making something not worth using if you can spend the same time doing something that actually ends up awsome.

As for EOC, theres no date set, but its not gonna happen in a while.

I know about Perf and I figured out how to make my own web and stuff, it is just that my Original Web has too high reqs such as Fairy Rings in order to deliver top xp, since I used to own a 2483 total account and now I do not, as for my script, if you think it was just the monster fighting, you are mistaken, my script could do all the coded tasks with just Slay(34); where 34 is the task ID, and it would do the task from begining to end. As I said, the only thing missing was the walking and to code NPC Contact for task renewing. I coded all the useful items and all kinds of potions and food. Hell, even all four Sigil Shields are coded into DTMs so the script supports them. As I said above, were it not for the current random solver, I would go for the Slayer since its almost finished but I really want to do it for personal satisfaction. As you said, it takes reflection and nexus to make a yet not perfect paid script. What I am doing is free so in the end, you get what you pay for. I am not planning to create the best XP/HR script nor something full of features. As someone said above, even if the script only supports the first Slayer master or only does Floor 1-12 in C1, it is still a big leap for Simba and Color Botting in general. This script is to serve for research purposes and to proof it can be done not to mention to challenge myself and hone my scripting skills. If my script doesn't work decently enough for you, it is alright. I love my code and I will accept and appreciate my script regardless of how it works.

I used Perf and I know what it did. If you expect Perfecticus Slayer for Simba, you better be willing to pay $24.95 for it. That being said, script selling is illegal on SRL grounds and I find script selling rather distasteful. If my script ever evolves that far, I would probably keep the copy to myself, not because I don't believe sharing is fair but because I do not want to harm RS. If you used PerfSlayer or were on RS around the time, I am sure you would remember all Slayer spots being full with ~10 bots on everyworld. It ruins the fun for legits and although I might be a botter myself, it is still their game since they are the ones who actually play it.

I can detect animations using color with Simba, my DTM scripting abilities allow me to do so and you would be amazed at how many things DTMs are useful for. I have never used any other item detection that aren't DTMs, they are just versatile enough for me to use. As for its reliability, I am still running my script, I made back in Oct. 11, 2011 and it still works fine. The only changes I've done to it were relating to SMART as smart 7.+ and 8.0 changed a few params here and there but nothing major has been changed since and it is still kicking strong and giving me over 2M/hr profit. DTMs are very cool, you should give them a try.

I am waiting on Brandon's opengl project to progress some more, and then I would like to attempt some dungeoneering stuff. Dungeoneering is theoretically possible now, but the time to make it and the time for its upkeep wouldn't be worth it even for money, let a lone for free.

This was exactly what I was after in terms of slayer as well.

However Demise, Im curious if you understand that you will most likely end up with horrible locationing failures if you go with sps ( returning absolutely wrong position ) as you will have to have sucha massive amount of areas loaded in which increases the possibility of failures in terms of locating yourself. Its still your best bet but I believe you are underestimating the amount of work you will need to make it all work the way you want it to and overestimating accuracy of SPS as it currently is.

However I don't think you understood that I never said its not possible, I said its a shitload of work in terms of error and bug hunting.

Either way enjoy your project, I'd be happy to be wrong.

I voted for slayer, Demise Have you ever heard of this error?
Now many people say you mustn't of declared the DTM properly But I have. No matter what I do it comes up sooner or later.Funny thing when ever it comes up the procedure that triggers it doesn't even use a DTM. This is what keeps me from using DTM's.
Have you ever had this problem?

SPS wouldn't be able to handle it with a 2k,2k map it was very slow and very inaccurate. You'd need to load the images as and when you needed them.

Well, I've decided to go with Dung due to the randoms. I would use that GLHook technology but I don't really understand how it works, so I will just use Simba Pascal and do it all with Color. I will begin with C3 and the Frozen Floors 1-11.

C3 gives you armor, I have had no trouble with bosses or monsters, only GD and keys exist, and after completion I averaged 60-65% experience. Floors take me 5 minutes to legit for 150 to 400 experience, I expect my script to be able to do them in 8-10 minutes for 6-7 floors an hour. This would generate 50-100k Dung experience a day for a noob account. Over time, with more floors and complexity, the expirience will increase. I will now start fabricating my functions for the script. I remember little of what iDung offered though since it has been so long since the original reflection era.

Thus I would appreciate if someone would be so kind as to post screens of all the option tabs for iDung, I believe there were a few (3-4) and ExaDung so that I know what kind of features to work towards.

Feel free to tell me what you would like to see in the script too because what is best for me might not be best for everyone.

For my beta release I will support Melee and Ranged attack modes, Magic support is out of the question until further notice. Prayer will be activated through Quick-Prayer and only during the boss fight. Stat boosters+Magic Protect will be recommended. All monsters in the Dungeon will be wiped out before moving on, this gives experience bonus although I already figured out how to make the script detect dead ends for a rush option in the future. Frozen floors and C3. I will try to do a lot of the work over this weekend. Keep in mind the items supported will be low level since my Combat level is only in the 80s and although I am a defence pure, i can only wear defensive items up Tier 7 Argonite, Melee items up to Tier 6 Zephyrium and Ranged items up to ~61 Ranged. Only melee armor will be used since I don't think the stats on Magic and Ranged armor are extremely good. The beta will always use the best armor available for its level but it is recommended to bind best melee weapon max arrows and best longbow as of C3. That is just what I got and it works pretty well, you can always keep ur binds, it makes no difference to me.

So please help me compile a list of functions to work/build towards.

I'm also working on a dungeoneering script, you can find my progress on Github @ https://github.com/J--J/TRiDungeons
I suggest making a script for Complexity 4 as it does not have puzzles and is very managable to script. Complexity 6 would be very hard to make.

A nice thing to start off with:
1. Open the dungeoneering minimap
2. Have a waitfunc until it's opened
3. Split the map in 16 squares (4x4) which is the max size of a Complexity 4 small dungeon
4. Use DTM's to detect the different rooms. Red triangle = player, stairs = start room, ? = unknown room, etc.
5. You now know what is in each room and in what room you are
6. Calculate the route from your position to another room

Some pictures when I did this
Drawing my own position on the map aswell (south/west in room 9)
Calculating what is in each room
Calculating some paths based on the minimap

Java code: https://github.com/J--J/TRiDungeons/blob/master/Solving/GetMap.java
public boolean getMap(){
// Checking if the map is open

TRiBot is based on OpenGL and color so it can do the same things as Simba in the near future :) Especially for object detecting OpenGL is extremely helpful. But still, it is not perfect. For example, all keys have the same ID. Green crescent key, Blue crescent key, Red Crescent Key -> all the same ID. When picking up you can instantly grab the uptext though due to OpenGL interception. But still :) Anyways, good luck and I hope to see a working dung map detector/path generator soon!

I expect it to be way more difficult without the OGL but yea, I will actually have it work based on the Minimap and store rooms dynamically so that it doesn't even need to open the minimap in order to navegate. We'll see where I get over this weekend.

Your method looks nice though, good luck.

I have been a little bit busy as of late but I managed to do some work so far on my DemiseDungeoneering script, this is how it is looking so far:

http://puu.sh/1fCJG

.avi in puush

The actual code could still see some cleaning up but so far, it works flawless.

=)

By the way, before someone says something, the script figures out which floor to start on based on the Current Progress but I overrided the floor with Floor 23 to show how the seeking works. It also resets your Current Progress if above Floor 11, since I will only support the Frozen floors at first.
