I uploaded a Gif as my avatar, but it doesn't animate like others do. Is there some sort of hidden setting, or am I missing something?

I don't think you are able to have gif animations as avatars.

The system automatically converts avatars to jpeg images, To get a gif image you have to have your avatar set manually by an admin.
