OpenGL Developer maybe something similar but with a more 3d like appearance like this:

I think a Rubik's Cube would be nice as a rank. It is 3d, just like OpenGL where you have to convert 3d to 2d. You have to solve it and think about it, just like making the OpenGL hooks. I just think it would fit very nicely.


EDIT: I just realized that Random Developer is a cube aswell. But I still think a 3d Rubik's Cube half solved as in the picture above would suit well.
