Runescape Older Java?

Is it possible to play Runescape without or with the older Java? I'm on a laptop with Java from arround 8/2011 last year. Don't have admin priv's so I can't download the new Java or the downloadble client. Anyway to play RS?

Use another computer to download the game client to a flash disk, then plug that in to play.

hmm, Why can't you download a file? afaik, standard user accounts can download files.

Isn't the standalone client just a exe, not an install?

Standalone client is an MSI. However, with 7zip you can extract it. Also, OP, where exactly did you get this laptop? I take it from your sig, you're australian, correct?

Yup I'm australian, wbu? :smile: I was going back from a long camping trip and stopped at my cousin's house for dinner on the way and his partner had a laptop which I used. And I did not know the PW sooo.. long story..

Unless its requesting you to update your java when you start the game in Internet Explorer, I suppose you could try to force sun java in your account settings on the site.

Ah, did it work for any of you guys? Although I'm fine now with RS Client, no botting though. :unsure:

Is it not possible for you to start the laptop up in safemode to create a new admin account.
