Hey guys. I'm a .NET programmer and loved Scion back in the day - It was effective, quick, and best of all I could script really terrific scripts for it since .NET is my passion.
Anyway, I've been thinking about bringing back .NET botting. There's the option of updating the old Scion source, but I was leaning more towards making a DirectX interception bot, for a bit of a change from the Java/GL/color bot scene. Problem is I don't know where to start.
Any suggestions on where to begin learning how to do this? I suppose I could easily settle for GL hooking too.

I heard Jagex is making the game entirely HTML 5 (Or something around those lines), so I am not too sure Open GL is a good path.

pretty sure he's referring to a DX bot not OGL, and I think that it would be a great idea personally. If all code is upgraded to html5 there will still be support for DX based rendering and it would be seemingly impossible to break the hooks used. I would suggest heading over to moparisthebest.com and seeing what a few people who know the in's and out's of the client have to say, at the very least they would be able to point you in the right direction.

Blupig from Sythe, right? hehe your siggys are always entertaining :P
DirectX .NET bot would be cool to see, also unique. You recently answered some of my .NET questions on Sythe :P Good luck with this if you decide to work on it.
Would be interesting to see a development log. Mato has been working on a DirectX hook for a while as seen here

This is Blupig from Skype, right?
IIRC, Mato started on DirectX interception.
