I love it. It is definitely the biggest change in terms of how it functions from a users standpoint than any windows version change that I've experienced.

Btw, I have access to infinite windows 8. No, it's not a torret or illegal way of me getting it. Since I'm enrolled in my schools computer tech/club and I have access to any Microsoft program/software and each time I download, it gives me a different activation legal code. Buying havent downloaded so I don't know if it works the way I think it is.

Im in the same boat as you bro ;) I have Windows 8 Pro atm and I'm loving it so far. I'll write a short list describing it:
Problems with it so far/Cons:
1. Internet Explorer 10 doesn't open for me (I use Google Chrome anyways so it doesn't matter much)
2. Sometimes the new Start menu doesn't open (happened to me twice in 2 weeks, not that big of a fuss, you just need to restart quick or wait a minute or two for it to work)
3. The new Start menu can be confusing at first, but I learned to love it ;)
4. No transparent windows anymore :(
5. For some reason I can't type special characters on Firefox and Chrome, but everywhere else I can. I can't figure out how to fix it either lol
Pros:
1. Faster boot time (it takes my computer about 12-15 seconds now to boot compared to 45-60 seconds with Windows 7 Home Premium)
2. It might just be me, but things seem more snappier/reactive to your actions
3. Big security enhancements and it's supposed to bring better battery life on laptops/tablets (haven't been able to test though)
4. It has the same system requirements as Windows 7, so if you have Windows 7 atm, most likely you can get Windows 8
5. Upgrading from Windows 7 to 8 is easy and all your files are transferred over, so no need for a backup (you definitely should still have one though)
6. Has good Xbox/Microsoft account integration
7. Its new Start menu is beautiful ;)
If I think of anymore, I'll edit!
PS: When Windows 8 officially gets released, it will get more support making it even better

You guys make me really want to switch over. Is everything compatible though? This would be on my main computer, not just a side laptop or something.

It would be better if you wait for windows 8 to settle down a bit.

It's already settle'd :S It's being distributed to schools through DreamSpark.
RTM = Release To Manufacturer = Final/Retail Version.
The next step is just service packs.

Sorry but all that sounds like you had a bad install, all that works 100% fine on my Windows 8 Pro - been using it since it was released in august
works perfectly fine for me
