JAG is useless as far as i'm concerned. I'll never use it.

No need. I've never been hacked, EVER. How would i get hacked? I'm not a complete re-re… I also have a bank pin and bank all items b4 logging out(unless i'm pking obviously). Also, if i ever get cleaned on my main it'll help me quit a game i've been playing for 9 years. :D

I don't know about you guys but even if I could play rs on my phone I wouldn't. Sure botting would be interesting, but imagine the lag/tiny everything.

I have asked this question here in the day that JAG came. I botted since there and didnt got banned. I only used smart not powerbot client.

I've been botting a total of about 150 hours since I registered for JAG and everything's been fine for me.

I've never used powerbot or any bot other than Simba, but I know better than to be an inconsiderate asshole. Look at yourselves

If you ever thought about it, all the devs have to do to hack you is set up an update for the SRL include to return the login portion of all your scripts, from there, your user pass and pin are disclosed. Feelsosafe?

Powerbot is used by many people on THIS forum, most of which are about 20 years old. Most people who bot are older than 12 since 12 year olds usually don't know how to set up a bot. Powerbot (or any Java bot) don't actually have an age limit or restriction…

About goldfarming… if you had any sense you would be in possession of a goldfarming script. It's the only way to make money of RS. You are only saying that goldfarming is bad because other people say it, deep down inside- everyone is into goldfarming.

Are you guys dumb? You are ruining it for others, go to draynor village willows on any world and tell me you are fitting in with the actual players.
You aren't there to fit in, I guarantee you are there for the xp. The makers of runescape don't like bots and are trying to get rid of them, but apparently you guys are just fitting in, so why not just leave SRL alone right? …

And my last comment about idiots. Double posting. Holy freakin triangles… is it really that bad to post twice? People get flamed for posting? "Son, next time just go back and edit your post, it makes life more enjoyable and children are born without defects when you don't double post." Um, kid… you just took a whole post up to comment on how I double posted. You mod asskissing rtrd. I have never seen such a rule on any other forums. And when someone does double post "Sorry for the double post but-" If you were sorry about then why double post? You could have just edited your last post right? Or is it that you realize how stupid that rule is?

Some phones have better specs than computers that are being used for RS :P We'll see what happens, I haven't got JAG enabled as I don't feel like I need it :)

I Personally disagree with your "everyone gold farms" "it's the only way to make money on rs" statement, I for one am against it and make my money a lot faster by using other approved methods.

Agree to that, and with the new update, hopefully old methods to make money will prevail once again. But unfortunately with the few releases over the past year making rc and others so easy, I don't know….only time will tell

I think when people talk about "gold farming" they mean hordes of granite body/dragon med helm bots all descending upon one blue dragon.

Most people have a couple of accounts set up to make money to then funnel to their mains, I do.

But there are ways to make money on RS without farming at all.

Also, I use Powerbot, not ashamed of it. I also use Simba and I love how Simba is but PB gives me more variety.

And about "fitting in", that goes back to the hordes of bots that look completely robotic vs a couple of players at Willows.

Personally I feel like this is untrue as if they were found out that a feature was meant to "secure" a players account was spying on their activity there would a bit of an unroar :P and some legal/moral issues.

I wouldn't bother with JAG because at the end of the day I really don't care I've lost more important things than an account on a game, now If the hacker somehow got into my bank account then I'll be worried

Since rsgp can be sold for $ readily, it can be considered a liquid asset. Some people have more money in RS than in their bank (eg. Chessy018 before getting hacked), so their rs banks are practically more valuable.

It doesn't make sense that Jagex detect bot client through JAG. If they can detect bot client… then they will just detect it, what's the logic of introducing an optional JAG system? As if that somehow give them extra info about your account/IP? This conspiracy can be proven wrong with…common sense.

It's true how it is only an account on a game… However some people care a lot about their game accounts and would probably get quite upset about it :/ But I guess the security measure is there… Use it or not :P

Probably just a phisher who went out of business.

JAG is simple thing it uses computer ID as loggin confirmation, that mean then you add computer to "SAFE" deviced. It gives unique ID about your hardware and software (browser etc) to "JAG" and save it at database and checks it or it's the same. after all if you change browser, or essential hardware components you will need to re-register "Device" as secure one. So I'm pretty sure it's not the issue about "Bot" detection. because after you confirm to run runescape client at first place, you give permissions to get CID.

Also Facebook uses same "Security" system (of course you have to turn it on). It registers devices in the same they, just instead of 5 questions/answers it uses mobile phone number and random generated pass code, which will be sent to given phone number.

EDIT: some information can be incorrect etc, about hardware/software part, but the basic idea is the same
(bot sure how it works exactly, but AFAIK each browser requires to activate JAG as well so I guess that software also is used to generate that code.)
