I've this:

I've a (now formatted by me) removable lexar usb device.

I've the product key for it too.

I have a small blank CD (like 700mb tops maybe) that I tried using and it said the file was too large to burn to it.. :s

Do I extract the files so I can edit the boot folder and make it work (when trying to install to a system with no OS)?
Or do I do something else?

Any help welcome! :>

Cheers,
Lj

Edit: Called a friend and I think he'll let me use a copy, then I'll just use the product key I got.. So I think that solves the issue.

Use a program to burn the .iso image to the USB.
Then when you boot up, set the boot priority to boot from USB.
You should be able to install it that way.
Installing from USB is much faster than using a CD, so you should use that method

hey if you want to use a usb stick, you gotta use a program that properly sets up your flash drive.

Unetbootin
http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

you will also have to hit f8 or f10 or something during bootup to choose your boot device, but you may also have to enable that via bios. (not that hard to do)

I got the OS up and running! :)
Don't think I still have / can't find my router CD, so I'll have fun looking around for that now >.>
