Hi All,

I am looking at getting a tablet, but not sure what to get.

I am after an Android tablet and would like peoples thought on what is a good one to get.

Galaxy tab 2 10.1? Asus transformer tf300? Or any you know off.

Hi, this may not be exactly what you are looking for, but I think it is pretty cool and around the same price as the tablets on the market.

It is the phonepad which is rather revolutionary. Would have gotten that if I had not bought the 4s and Ipad

The video below is a preview of the product

Not sure what your time table is, but I have a Kindle Fire that I have rooted and I absolutely love it. I would definitely look into the Kindle Fire HD. I imagine it is going to be an awesome tablet after you root it for $200.

I'd suggest an iPad. There's a reason that it's at at 64.4% market share.

Anyways, as far as Android tablets, I'd say the Nexus 7. I've heard really great things about it. Plus it's stock Android, which in my opinion is pretty good now. It'll get upgraded faster than the other tablets since it is stock and doesn't have the the TouchWiz or Sense UI on it from HTC and Samsung.

I bought a great tablet for my mrs called disgo 9104
Doesn't come with google play yet someone has made a easy guide on how to install it your self also has the same screen as the ipad and aluminum case makes it pretty sexy costs around £160-170 but its slower than the nexus with only a single core 1ghz processor only time I've notived anylag was with the stock internet browser worth a look anyway.

If you are referring to Galaxy Note 2, then it is a good device, with more or less top of the line specs for now. However, being an Apple fan boy, I still prefer the Ipad, or if I had to do with a cool 2 in 1 device, Asus padphone!!!!

Go for the Asus Transformer Pad TF300T… I am currently at school, using one and remote desktoping to my home computer for me to type this… Believe me, its the best one at the moment.

What reason? Because there hasn't been a competitor with a similar build in quality? Wait for a Microsoft Surface Pro, the hardware looks great, and it will run a full-fledged OS, meaning it will do more than any other tablet.

Won't that cost like 1 grand?

Thanks for the info guys, been to a few shops today looking at tablets and i have decided to go with a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (not the Note 2 coming out next month, its to small)

i really liked the feel for it and it seems very responsive when i used it in the shop, i did want the Asus Transformer tf300t but the extra cost juts for a keyboard didnt make so much sense.

will post back when i get it, just in case it doesnt work as well as i would like

Yes, I would argue that the quality of an iPad is better.

We'll see about the Surface. I'd agree that it looks great. But there's 2 things to take into consideration. 1. It's a brand new product, people have to know about it before they will buy it. (Seriously, how many people know about Windows Phone 7?) 2. It's also, arguably, a brand new OS. Sure it's Windows, but it's Windows completely redesigned, so they're also banking that tablet on Windows 8. And if Windows 8 flops and everybody hates it, people aren't going to be buying the Surface.

Nice man :P
I'm personally waiting for the Microsoft Surface, if it's around $300-400 or so I'll buy it. Otherwise I'll wait for other manufacturers to bring out Windows 8 Tablets.
