No need to fear, looks like it's only advert bots for now.

They are just taking care of the easily detectable bots which SHOULD have been taken care of as long back as RSC, it's not hard to find a spammer/advertiser and put a stop to them!

At least they are doing something though, and making a nice big show out of it :p.

Have you seen them explode? I did and everyone was like:"Again! Again!" It was really quite funny seeing them getting a heartattack after being reported by tons of legits at GE. Everybody backing of from the spot where the bot was standing. and cheering and shouting when it died. Barbaric circumstances, I tell you :)

Depressing though: as soon as grthjkkuuuk1 was banned, 30 seconds later *poof* enter grthjkkuuuk2. :(

So that doesnt seem to help a bit, it will only stop legits using autotalkers :)

It's great to see this happening! Now I don't always have to have my public on "hide" when I go to the g.e.. And I'll be able to find a team easier at dung lol.

Looks like they are banning bots as well. Best of luck to you all, only the strongest, wittiest, and luckiest will survive! :p

They've certainly added an incentive for the legits to report. Previously they were getting disheartened by not seeing results. Now they not only know the player has been banned, but they've got a theatrical show to go along with it.

Does this also happen to botters?

Ive been reporting spambots for about the last hour and watching them explode/suffocate three bots die three bots died in about 2 mins then 5 mins later three more bots in the same spot. Now three characters are in the same spot but login for 15 seconds then exit lobby then relogin, two arent talking, one is talking he logs in auto talks twice and logs out he hasn't died and its been almost 10 mins.

I don't like this, if they can detect garden and turoth bots, then they can detect everything…

I guess this is the beginning of the new botting detection system.
I'm liking what they are doing, but to be on the safe side I'll be running my bots for shorter times.

lol, I would of loved to see that. I'm glad something is finally being done about them :).

In the Garden it was kind of obvious who the bots were….all level 3 ants crawling around like Uncle Milton's Ant Farm.

Probably doing babysitting while chatting on clan chat would remove some heat. And dont chat non stop on a click intensive skill (obviously), but just to show some activity

I was on world 2 a couple days ago and there were auto-typing spam types in force again….. this was after the exploding stuff….. guess these things breed like cockroaches….but intersting thing is that they are back at all.

Its called blending in, if your not able to blend in its your own fault you get banned…I also would stay clear of SW bank LOL.

I alch'd on the boat between port pantasmus and the garden over there. Then again I moved locaations every hour and did my Farming at the same time. That was forever ago.

I'm fairly sure jagex checks, it would be pretty foolish of them not to.

It is all done automatic.
It is all done instantaneous.

So the parameters for this ban are:

if Text is equal and if letters are typed every other 60 msecs (or any number outside human tolerance) = bot. You'll just need to monitor them a little bit of time to find this out, right? So, this is step #1 of the botenrollment….and this works fairly ok.

Step #2 will be monitoring Players longer periods of time, using the same set of parameters, no?……

I am severely randomising all my scripts.
