Google has released an updated YouTube app on the AppStore!

Can't even search it yet, need direct link (click it on your iDevice) will be searchable soon enough though.

WOOP, I'm assuming this will be more like the android version as the one on the iphone etc was quite old and not very good for those who manage a channel

Yes! I hate the old version so much!

Apple is kicking YouTube out as one of the native apps. Probably in their increasing effort to shed everything Google. But it does give the YouTube app the advantage of being able to update more often and stay updated.

I remember when they first took the app down, after Apple put their owns adverts over videos in order to make their own revenue. Very Apple like…

Apple is also replacing Google Maps with TomTom maps…ugh. I use a jailbroken YouTube app that's even better than the main app from Google. So therefore, I win.

Google isn't in a lawsuit with Apple. Look at the search you linked too. Several articles on the Samsung v. Apple case. The closest you could argue is that Motorola has filed for import bans on several Apple products.

Right you are. Google makes the Android operating system. However, the Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit was about Samsung's hardware designs as well as their TouchWiz UI they put on top of Android. As Google stated, the patents that were infringing didn't have to do with the core Android

Apple sued samsung, and won.. with patents on stuff that was invented years before. Now google goes after apple to ban them from importing their goods into USA.

Apple sued samsung, and won.. with patents on stuff that was invented years before. Now google goes after apple to ban them from importing their goods into USA.

The reason I say Google isn't suing Apple is because if Google wanted to sue Apple, they surely could have put their own name down as the plaintiff. Instead they chose to use Motorola. Just looks like Google is still trying to fight these proxy battles.
