I cannot log in with my smart client (v7.2) because I am getting the error that it cannot connect to server.

A secondary issue I have is that the smart version that pops up is version 7.2. How can I actually install version 8.0? I have extracted the files and tried clicking the jar, nothing comes up. So, what would I do to get v8.0 to run?
