So im in Europe right now, from Canada, visiting family and was wondering…
What If I botted and say I got banned for it, if I appealed when I came back to Canada, would the appeal be accepted if I said my account was hacked and the hacked was botting?
I mean the different IP address is like my ticket in the clear, is it not?

Well… it's highly improbable that you'll get banned.. I move around a lot due to holidays etc and living in different places so I'm not sure.
I think it's fairly unlikely they'll accept that though because botting is still botting

Yeah you can do that. I know a guy whose account got hacked, the hacker bought members for it and then goldfarmed on it while he was on a vacation. He came back, saw all the stuff and then changed his credentials. A day later the goldfarmer denies the payment from his CC, giving the guy's account negative credit. He then mailed payment support and told all the stuff, and they reverted the negative credit.
TL;DR You can get everything that wasn't made b you resolved, so IP change would work.

Thats what I was thinking. Cause I wont be gone for too long.
I can bot madly and if I got banned Id say it wasnt me cause it was a different IP Address.

I don't think this appeal will work after you got banned. If you get banned, you're just fucked. Jagex knows there are smart people like you

that's not what I mean lol :p I mean he tries to lie to jagex… I think they have experience with liars\
if it would work, it's very easy to bot and get unbanned because you could do this with a proxy
I once didn't log onto an account for quite some time. During that period I move houses. When I re-connected I immediately changed the password and started botting. They blocked the account and when I queried it they said that the account appeared to have been stolen, recovered it and all was well again :)
Assuming they actually look at appeals for macroing bans, they'd just say 'you are fully responsible for the safety of your own account blabla..'
Though they may offer to unban your account for a price :rolleyes:

They introduced it last year:
"If Jagex bans any account as a result of your breach of the Rules of RuneScape and you have exhausted the Offence Appeals Process, Jagex may, in its absolute discretion, give you an opportunity to make a fixed payment to reinstate the account.
And that was when Andrew haven't sold the company. Maybe the IVP will soon start selling botting licence :sasmokin:

Not sure if relevant - but when I was banned I had been using various IPs across Australia to move billions across mules for RWT - they didn't care, appeal didn't work
