But it's not the actual substance that becomes addictive. It's the habit of doing said thing.
Runners get in the habit of running, meat heads get in the habit of working out.
Pot heads get in the habit of smoking.
So weed is NOT addictive, but the habit of smoking is hard to break and can seem like an addiction.
OT: Find something else that's fun to do. When I stopped smoking it was hard at first. I've gotten into free running :p (although I suck at it still…). Just find an activity that's thrilling for you.
You can be addicted to anything.
"The fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity."
Your statement of he is addicted to the habit really means nothing, you could be addicted to the habit of smoking meth. It is the substance you get addicted to, not the habit.
Yes there is a VERY low chance of dependency but it does happen, and can really happen with anything. Just look at some of us on this site, 10 years later and some of us still play a game we pretty much beat in every aspect.
People get addicted to the "good effects" of weed, and thus want to smoke again. It is the same way someone gets addicted to cheerios because they are delicious.
Before you say it yes I know weed really has low negative side affects if any at all. It is just you CAN get addicted to anything, not just the "habit".
