The main point of this thread is meant to focus on how Runescape can not be repaired from any damage that has been done to its community, economy and economics. Not to flame and blame people for botting. I appologize for that misconception. Main focus is how it can not be saved unless Jagex we're to do a reset.
The damage that has been done to Runescape the past four years that botting has been popular is irreversible. The game is ruined. Too many people have unfairly maxed their accounts, gathered stock piles of items and massive amounts of gold. The damage to the game can not be reversed, and it will remain in a downward spirle until the game ends. You might think things like this are insignificant, but it has happened on a massive scale that you may not truly understand. Soon you will see Veteran and maxed players and eventually the new players (or newbs) slowly disappearing from the game because they have realized the same thing and are no longer enjoying the game. We here at the in this community and communities alike don't like think about it, nor want to think we are personally responsible. But the truth is we are all responsible for the demise and ruin of the game of Runescape. Ruining it for everyone. Soon, most of the only people left actively playing the game are going to be botters. Even if Jagex does somehow manage to disable botting from the game for good, the damage is still going to be done. It just wont be progressing any more. It will still continue to slowly die and end.
Botters/Bot softwear force legit players to quit, and frustrate other botters by having to compete with eachother for resources and training spots until they eventually quit as well. Botting softwear are the deafening, deathening infestation of the game, with injection bots being the key of the virus that has plagued runescape since it's conception. They're main goal to blindly ruin the game, though they don't realize what their own agenda is.
Most people who start botting, can not stop botting and will not play the game unless they can bot. It is a sad thing that we have helped destroyed the game. As I said before, it is obvious that the damage to the economics of the game is so serious and can not be reversed.
There are no noobs left. The game is no fun. Everyone is reasonably rich, everyone has the best gear, everyone is a high level. Everyone has botted maxed skills, and it was never supposed to be like this. It was never intended to end up like this, but we botters have secured that fate, and secure it more and more each time we log in and start a script. Most people here would be lucky to have one single 99 skill that they got legit. You would not see every PVM buff walking around with Herblore capes. You would very very rarely see a heblore cape (for example). And this was the way the game was meant to be. But now days, every jack off who likes to kill things on the game has a botted 99 Herblore cape from the various Serum 207 scripts that have been released. This was not how things we're meant to turn out. But no one thought it would be this serious, or that it could not be fixed. No likes to admit that this is what happened as well, but we all know it to be true.
The only way Runescape can be saved from it's near future ending destruction is to completely reset, like private servers do. A reset of the virtual time, space and matter of Runescape. Back to square one, and do it all over again. Fairly this time. But we all know that will never happen. So that leaves us with only one outcome of the game.
I want you to think about everything I just said before you start up your 30 bots the next time you log in the game. Quit thinking of runescape as a job to earn GP, and dont log in unless you actually want to play game. Let us thank eachother for destroying a great game. Thank you.
