SRL Archive - General

It's about time I tried to make my first script… I tried to make one before but failed miserably.
I want to make a script for RuneScape (obviously) but I don't know where to start. I know I could use the search option… But there's specific things I want to ask…

I was watching YoHoJo's tutorials on YouTube, but there was a annotation saying that the point and click commands get you banned now, so I guess it's out of date.
My question is: Is there a "SRL for dummies" type resource specifically focusing on making RuneScape scripts?

Keeping in mind that I have basically no prior programming experience. So I don't know anything.

Not out of date!
Tutorial #1 commands were used for Flash Games/Non-Runescape things.
Every Tutorial video besides that is all safe for Runescape!

That + SRL Scripting Help section and you'll learn very fast and get tons of help!

I'll check them out now, I've been so badly in the mood to learn how to script properly, the video of yours I watched was really awesome!

That one is just an introduction on using Simba to script, you should use his other tutorials for learning how to script for RuneScape :D (I'd link but iPhone sucks at this)

If you're brand new to scripting, watching his first video will help too.. just don't use the functions/procedures you use there, in runescape… it will still help you understand the basics of any script, for any/every game
