So there's a RuneScape update in less than an hour… What do we think this update will contain?
Personally, I hope it's Bottany Bay.

There was one yesterday around the same time, I don't think it'll be something big. BRB checking RSOF.
E: No details gives, shit update probably.
E': People are saying it's either GWD or al kharid rework.

They will prolong the bot bay for as long as possible, so legit players are thinking "just a little longer".
Useless update for me, barely ever go to GWD (God Wars Dungeon).

Yeah, that's a good point.
Oh, right, obviously that's what it means. Thanks.

I'm fairly certain that the Al Kharid update will be the last update of the month because it is by far the largest.

Is there any actual confirmation on the bot nuke date? Because I've seen posts from Jmods (images, not the actual posts :() that bot nuke was supposed to be in July, then August, and now in September. Bot nuke = big loss in their profits though so would they even nuke the bots?

I might actually go to the GWD for just to check it out actually.
I quite like the Jagex security thing, they copied facebook though.

Lots of sites use this type of thing, like Steam. AFAIK WoW has had some sort of account protector for many years.

What is that Guardian stuff about?

Footy

2012-09-05 14:16:24

Basically, only authorized devices authorized by you are allowed to log onto your account. Seems like a good anti-hack feature.

Do I earn anything ingame by applying to such thing?

I've ever come across it on facebook, never knew Steam used it either.
The guardian feature seems like it might be quite useful if you only have one account that you have a lot of GP on, or something like that.

Andres

Now there is really no reason to get hacked. So long as your email account is secure.

But doesn't this also mean they can easily see if you are playing runescape on more than 1 device…? Awwww Gawwwddd

Then each and every one of us would sleep the night with a massive grin on our faces. We want the injection bots gone because they ruin the RS economy with their free goldfarming scripts.

Incase you don't know, simba is not a botting program. Grats summed it up earlier.

They already could do that, whenever you run RS on a different machine, a different random.dat file is used. Hell, running SMART through WINE on the same linux machine uses a different random.dat file compared to browser use.
