SRL Archive - Banned from RS

Saw this on another site, decided to check whether it's true… and yeah. I suppose Jagex does realize that their game will die in a few years, and so they decided to joke around a bit.

Wow, thats interesting. Have any mods posted on the forums with a reasoning?

Perhaps instead of it dying in a few years, their expectations are to have it live past 12+ years? :P (but who am I kidding…) ;)

i just tried and it showed me the same time remaining.

Checked one of my old accounts which was banned in 2009, it currently has 1 hour less time left then the picture you posted :p

They just took all permabanned accounts, and set it to 12 years. :/

Do they really think you would still be interested in RS 12 years later? The game would be completely different over that span of time

I don't know… with the way graphics are, and all these new and better games coming. I dont see this lasting. The new generation is all about graphics and rs cannot compare to some others out there.

They are simply trolling. They just put a ridiculous amount of time on all perm bans. It won't really become unbanned in that amount of time.

Might make more sense if it was place for: 03:14:08 UTC on 19 January 2038, the end of 32 bit times ;)

I've got an account banned wayyyyyy back in ~2005-ish times. Appealed many times, I have a few rares on it… and always get denied. Checked, and only ~ 100k hours!

if you took that off rid. that is my ban from back in 2006. so technically it is a 20 year ban. if u didnt get that from rid then i got an acc that is about same time frame to be unbanned

Everyone's account timer is started at the same time. Whether you were banned a month ago, or banned 6 years ago.

My account is banned for 11,5 more years. It was banned in may 2011. :P
