I have been using a few bots lately and I have been hacked twice.

Why do scripters use their information they gain from teh scripts to hack people here? Grow up.

Post the scripts you were using. It's far more likely you're infected by a FUD Rat or something along those lines. Everything here is open source anyways, so I imagine any malicious code would be spotted rather quickly.

Why cant ppl realize that simba and its scripts are OPEN SOURCE?

You say Simba is opened source. Have you checked the source and compiled it yourself? If you just checked it and said "oh, it's safe" and then downloaded the binary release, what's to stop a keylogger going in there.

Tl;DR, if you don't compile everything yourself, you can get keylogged.

Ontopic: I don't think it was a script here, or Simba, I've been using both for months, and have yet to be hacked. Post or PM me the scripts and I/we'll take a look?

I don't because i trust Wizzup and the developers. But if i were to get hacked (like the OP) i'd check out the code. Anyway throughout history there has never been any instance when Simba contains malicious code. The only chance that you get hacked is by using a script that contains malicious code. And i do scan through every script that i use (except my own ones ofc), and have security.sex enabled.

On topic, I'd have been more helpful if the OP didn't start by insulting the scripters.

Post the exact code of each of the scripts you used and we can tell you if there is any malicious code in it.

Any scripts in the runescape scripts section are clean, and if you want to be sure, just use a script from a reputable scripter.

I trust Wizzup? to, I was just pointing that out.
Powerbot was open source and hacked people.

Agreed, but NKN has a fair point. If someone who doesnt have the same intentions as Wizzup? hacked into Wizzup's site and got access to the source (which is what happened to Gh0st/RSBot), we'd be f*cked.

fuck as in, it would take 5 minutes to make new account on git with the source?

yea but they let anyone code that crap, I mean.. timer is their main guy ffs, all he used to do was write acc stealing scripts

No one who has posted so far believes it was a script from these forums or the program Simba. If you use other botting methods or have been downloading some "too good to be true" stuff then I'd assume it is either of those.

He will still have to push an update that we have to allow on simba, and usually whenever there is an update for simba wizzup will release in advance for testing, with details on what has improved etc, and only push the actual update few days/weeks later.

So the hacker need to have a complete understanding of villavu/simba, and be able to hack wizzup's account for few days, and block wizzup from all sort of communication to tell us that his acct is hacked, which is obviously quite impossible.

If Simba suddenly prompts you to update but no announcement was made etc it'd be quite fishy and you shouldn't update immediately. For the same reason i disabled SRL's 'Automatically Check for Updates' and only update them few days after the last git commit, of which by then any malicious code being pushed would be discovered, not that it has ever happened.

TLDR: Simba allows us to disable all sort of autoupdater, unlike bot clients that autoupdate themselves w/o users' consent.

grats

that's extra safe riwu, most commits take a few days to even show up on auto update :P

no match here on that I.P.

and guys…. SRL/Simba hacking accounts? We have never been into that, and never will. If wizz would do something like that (and I know he doesn't) I'd kick his bud personally…. a 1000 times.

AFAIK we are the only trustworthy cheating site.

To avoid such questions, remove the username and password from scripts. No auto login, let users login them self. I always leave the user name and password blank in scripts.

OP: You must have some keyloggers installed on your PC. Simba and scripts are open source, no one here will hack you.

That pretty much says it. There's a handful of security features that comes along with using Simba and its' scripts.
First off, everything is obviously open-source; the script, SMART and Simba itself, no other bot can say the same.
Secondly, I believe there's an optional security extension built into Simba, I'm not quite sure what it does but I believe it will notify you and ask for permission before any information/input from your script is uploaded/sent to a website. I could be wrong about that but that's what I think it is.
