All the glory and the fame of being a judge?!
Anyone want to be a judge for the upcoming competition I am looking for 3 judges.

(Please do not apply if you are in the competition, and if it is between being in the competition and being a judge.. pick the first option (being in the competition, we need all the competitors we can get!)

All I really am looking for in a judge is a few people who are competent scripters who understand the majority of the SRL library and would be able to tell what is "advanced".

Three people is what I am aiming for, too many judges and it becomes difficult.

What will happen is I will send you the top 5 scripts from each section, I should be able to pick 5 from each group (If I cannot I will send you them all).

You will rate each script from 1-10
I will average the scores from all the judges
and declare a winner

I will remove names from the scripts so it should in theory be fair.

I can't imagine this taking more than 1 hour of your time :)
You also have about 5 days to complete the judging!

I want to compete so I cannot be a judge, but I'd like to suggest that the ratings be on a 3-30 scale; sort of like the olympic judging scales.

1-10 on required tasks
1-10 on stability / efficiency
1-10 on creativity

I think it's much more fair and effective using a scale like that :)

I would love to be a judge. But if you feel I have not provided you with enough scripts/evidence of being a good judge I will compete.

I would like to be a judge for this, but I also want to compete.. not sure if you can do both? I prefer competing over judging as I haven't made an actual script in a while, mainly snippets and other stuff :P

I think you should expand on that, have something that looks more like a rubric. For example, on the first 10 points, doing the task:
Banks and walks back and forth properly: 2 points(1 point for buggy banking, 0 for no/broken banking)
Does step 1 of task: 2 points(0 for not doing, 1 for not doing all of it)
does step 2 of task(same)
etc.

This way the ratings will be more standardized, and you can publish them after the end of the competition.

i am interested :) haven't created scripts in a while, actually partially working on one but not finished. however i am completely familiar with the SRL include, as i still make quite a few snippets here and there.

I'm also happy to be a judge if needed. However, I'm not prepared to run and test the scripts as I don't play rs but I am happy to mark/write comments on the technicallities of the scripts.
