Is it evil?

Hi guys!
spianist here. I heard all the hate on the forums for the Powerbot people, but they seem relatively harmless. And the problem is that even though I am in the process of learning Pascal, I kind of am already an okay scripter of java (been doing it for 2 years). So I kind of find their system of coding easier. So here's my question; would it be evil for me to script for them until I learn to utilize Pascal in a better manner? I'm just wondering… and I would like your opinions… thanks!

Just wondering what would make it evil? Just because some people hate how powerbot is run doesn't make you evil, nor does it make coding for them evil. If you would prefer to code for them while you learn pascal then do it.

I think that would be evil (according to some in this community) as I believe people judge other people by the people they are surrounded with. So yeah…

Not really… its wouldn't be "evil". Just frowned upon by some people. But do what you want, no one will judge you later if you coded a bit for PB.

I give you my support because you will know java and pascal.

Well they have been removing free scripts that compete with paid ones so yeah, you could call them evil money hungry bastards.

Well since pbot is a full steam leech machine would I not see any problem by using pbot until you feel ready for pascal :)

I guess it depends what type of scripts you make, as I think powerbot seems to be more hogging on the resources as simba is more alongside the legit community. I personally don't mind if you script for them as I think a few of their scripts are really good. xD

No. No disrespect towards scripters of other communities. It is generally the way things are run that others of our community dislike (e.g. the recent removal of all free scripts, the non-stop swearing, immatureness and leechiness attitude of most forum members, etc). Personally, I have no quarrel with PB nor the staff there.

Buddy, if you're good at java scripting then develop your skills further there. It will allow you to reach new levels of confidence and ability. This will all help when you moveover to pascal and try to script here.

Remember there is a wealth of knowledge for you here at your fingertips!

Best of luck

we just have a problem with the way its run and its community is pretty dire. we don't care how you bot there or script for powerbot.

Enjoy your stay here at SRL

Thanks guys. All the arguments you give make sense. And I do agree with the people who said that their community is full of leeches. I think I'm going to script for them until I am confident in scripting in Pascal. Again, Thanks!

pretty much covers it.

I'd love to see all the scripters from other forums come around here.. pascal is probably easier to read (imo) but what we do with it is harder than how the java bots work, they make scripting pretty damn easy for it… especially since it's injection

SRL aims to do that, for the runescape & pascal pretty much the hardest/most repetitive stuff is written so people can use it in their scripts.. so I generally have more respect for decent scripts on simba than I do flawless ones on powerbot/otherbots
