Why does RRW do this...

repeat
RadialRoadWalk(8949641, 330, 390, 60, 0, 0);
FFlag(10);
until FindSymbol(Sx, Sy, 'staff shop');

Part of a script I'm making is going to home teleport to varrock and then walk up to the Grand Exchange. Well I've been experimenting with different walking methods… and right now RRW is the one I'm now stuck on. It clicks on a point on the road correctly at first, moving north like I want it to, but then it clicks on a point back south. I don't understand why.

The white dot in the center is where it first clicks successfully. The flag is where it clicks next. Then it repeats going back and forth.

What did I do wrong? I just want it to run north until it gets to the staff shop in the town center for now. I'll finish the whole walking later but right now I just want it to get that far.

Before suggesting to do another method:
1) I've tried SPS but I'm a noob and I guess I have to reread the tutorials a third time. For some reason I wasn't getting it to work. I created a path and all but still it wasn't working.
2) The only other method I've tried was symbol finding which has proven to work. I just have to play with the coordinates more because it looks bot-like AT THE MOMENT.

Any other method I haven't tried yet. Would appreciate any help with getting RRW to work/naming the best walking method to use.

Thanks.

function RadialRoadWalk(TheColor, StartRadial, EndRadial, Radius, Xmod, Ymod: Integer): Boolean;
RadialRoadWalk(8949641, 330, 390, 60, 0, 0);

Probably a problem with the area you are searching in. One radial is 180/π degrees but I believe you can actually put degrees there instead of radials. However I believe I used degrees myself aswell when working with Radial walk so I'm not sure what's wrong with that.

Oh yeah for your symbol finding you have to realise that other people can stand on them and thus the function will return false even though the symbol is on the minimap. You can modify the accuracy yourself but if you lower it too much it will get true results even though the symbol isn't there.

But on another note, for walking such a long road I would definately use SPS. This is a good guide: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71461

I was going to initially use radials but I've just seen everyone use degrees.

Just as I feared (the symbols), guess I'll take another shot at SPS walking. Thank you :o
