If you guys have logged in within the last 15 minutes the 350k bonus xp for members has been released!

Here's a quote:

Today is the day! If you’ve been a part of Sizzling Summer and been a member for every day of August, today you will receive a promissory note from us, directly into your inventory. If you don’t have the space, talk to Diango in Draynor Village to pick it up! There will be a prompt on log-in to tell you that the item is available to you. Please also note that some players may not receive the item until later in the day, as it will take a number of hours for us to award it to all eligible players.

Click on it in your inventory to open up the Bank of XP and claim your 350,000 XP. Your XP will be applied through lamps (accessible only through the Bank of XP, rather than your inventory), which are for varying amounts and have minimum level requirements for whichever skill you are wishing to apply it to. This is so you can’t accidentally apply 350k XP to one skill and suddenly find yourself having skipped through levels unintentionally! You will still be able to apply multiple lamps to the same skill if you wish, though.

We’re only halfway done, though, so don’t forget that you’ve got until midnight tonight (GMT) to purchase membership for our scorching September session of Sizzling Summer! If you’ve been a member throughout August be sure to keep your membership running until the end of September to guarantee that you get your hands on over 1 million XP and Choose Your Fate: four of the most powerful items ever seen in RuneScape.

If you're slightly late to the Sizzling Summer party, never fear – even if you haven’t been eligible for Sizzling Summer so far, sign up for September now to be eligible for a roasting-hot raft of Sizzling September rewards. This annoys me. It's practically buying XP. I know many people who payed the ~7 dollars just for the XP. So much for not being able to buy success in the game… Not officially anyways.

It's a promotion, really. Many people payed the same amount they payed in the previous months and got 350k free xp. The whole aim was to get more people to buy members, and it worked, just like the green skin, flaming skull, katana and such. At least nobody's complaining on this reward(there will be a havoc with teh choose your fate thing tough)

I like it, probably because I'm a member though. :p
But I don't think people that bot should be annoyed. By botting, you can easily bot enough RSGP to buy a membership pin and then you can make even more RSGP the next month to buy another pin, and you'd have gained some extra RSGP.

somehow I keep getting free membership trials on the same account… not complaining. must be a glitch or something. I could care less about extra xp

I honestly love the experience lamp. I'm a member anyway might as well compensate for the crappy updates with a nice lamp. Not a fan of the four items thou.

I didn't get mine yet :(. And the reward is basically a compensation for bxp weekends, nothing really new.

nope if you use 1k increments up to 5k as you reach the required level - took one of my accounts from 28 summoning to 63:)

At the time i posted it i already did.

I used it on 3 skills, starting at 1k lamps, and doing it up to 5k lamps at a time.


Perhaps next time I'll use it all on one skill idk.

where did you get lamps i only got one from diango a 2k xp lamp at lvl 64 :o help plz

On the official homepage they said it would take some time to get everyone who deserves their bonus exp, to them. So intermittently throughout the day you can expect the reward.

yeah i logged out and back in
and i lvled my summ from 64 to 68 and range from 76-78 :) cant wait for the 700k xp and its a nice bonus to have :)

I don't agree with the concept of just giving a lamp to everyone worth 350k xp. On the other hand, I'm not going to pass up 350k free Slayer xp.

my RC accounts really enjoyed the free xp haha

You can just use 100K xp lamps 3 times + 50K xp lamp one time to get 350k xp in a sub-86 skill.

It's not everyday. Its a two time thing.

I went from 48 slayer to 64 slayer. going to get to 70-75 legit before i spend the 700k.

It's part of the whole new takeover by the Americans, they're trying to maximize profits ie. attracting new members by the reward of free xp no?

Yepp Thats pretty much their memo now…

I used 300k on farming and 50k on summoning :p

I have bought the membership mainly because of the 1m xp, but I would have bought it later on if they didn't give the xp.
+ iDungeon was still free when I bought the membership :D

I am looking forward to the 700k xp, but I'm torn between summoning, slayer or farming… I'm thinking summoning just because its a big ass waste of time, but then again I can train it easily… Ish.. Or I could do slayer just because it will be my last 99 to max..

Ideas anyone?

Getting 99 slayer gets you enough charms for 99 summon. Farming on the other hand takes like a year doing daily tree runs, but that's still faster than summoning and slayer, plus you can bot livid farm if you want more xp.
If you are going to go for 99 slayer you might as well not waste the lamps on summoning, and do farming instead.

Incorrect…. you just have to use some of the smaller lamp sizes….in the end you still use the 350K on any skill or skills you wish

Only maxed players are not happy with free XP. Maybe botters too, they can get more xp per day while they sleep. Legits need such free xp lamps to lvl their skills.

I wasn't really upset with this promotion because it saved me some money on my main. But I do wonder how many people bought membership just for the month of August and how many will stay a member through this month to get the other 'half' of Jagex's promotion.

I wouldn't waste it on a buyable skill, but that's just me.

I'm still thinking about putting the 750k xp into agility or summoning.

I don't see the point in putting it in any other skill.

Will probably do Agility though, so i can start doing Ape atoll.

I think mine will go all into summoning/slayer. Both take a little bit of time to get up. :o

Thinking of using for summoning, since one level off 93 for Elite Ardy Cape

When I'll get my XP I'm gonna go with Summoning. Fron 40s to 60s in seconds! And total level will boost up nicely :)
