Hey can I host an official contest? With the winner getting the contest cup?

We haven't had a scripting competition in a while and I personally think it would be pretty cool to have scripters battle it out with two winners.

One for the under SRL group
One for SRL members +

Only SRL members+ could win the cup, but both parties will win 50m each.

For example:
The Regs/Juniors would write a script on killing anokoes
Requirements:
Must be over 150 lines
Must include food support
Must include prayer support
Must include fail safes
Must be able to tell if in combat/not in combat
Banking is optional but recommended

The members script could be something like:
(Same rules as above, minus the ones that would not apply)
All in one cooking guild
Be able to start with 50gp
Buy a chef's hat
Enter the cooking guild
Cook everything (f2p) in the guild, including pie by collecting wheat
Banking items
Repeating

In essence creating the cooking guild pro :p

Junior members/regs can opt to be in the srl members+ part if they want to.

I would put like a 2 week cap for entries?
I mean 50m is a lot of GP, or so I would hope it is still… I can imagine people striving to get it, and the cup would be something for members to strive for who don't really want rsgp (Although they also get 50m gp/$25 aprox).

Oooo! This sounds like one good competition. Don't think it's my decision for it to be official; regardless this sounds like a fun competition - one that I'd love to have a hand in! :)

If this goes through with the admins etc. I will post a general poll for the general public to see if there is interest in something like this :p so it will actually be an exciting contest!

Yes I would definitely like to see an official competition.

However I wouldn't be able to enter as I haven't scripted for MONTHS… :(

Its a free $25 :p should just enter anyway :)

The best way to ask for permision, in my opinion, is to report this post or PM an admin. By reporting your post it will show up on the staff their 'todo list'.

You're going to have to change that now (so as others won't get a head start) :p Although, there is one thing I personally do not like with these competitions, and that is freedom (i.e. we'll end up with 50 cooking guild scripts :/), even though it is a little harder to judge.

But yeah, I see no problem with it :)

I would really like it if some of you guys competed, even if you don't play RS. It is free GP, which is basically free money also a great cup!

If I see enough interest (Looking for at least 5 competitors in each section, I will start the hunt for other judges :p)
