Hey guys, Im wondering where you guys are getting your minecraft for free. I used mineshafter, but it wont work anymore, so if there are any better ones, post here! Thanks!

I have a file called minecraftsp.jar, running it on any computer automatically creates the needed folders to run minecraft and it starts up with a window to pick a sername, and get an update if desired. Searching for the file name online will easily get you a download link.

I downloaded that and ran it, I chose a username, and it said
"Fatal error occured (4):Permission denied: connect"
I'm assuming this is on my side, thanks for the help though!

Haha, he actually made his "game" cost $27? That's crazy.

Still, there's not much you can do. Software piracy is illegal (surprised this thread's not locked yet). You can try the free "classic" version of Minecraft, which is a bit old, but gets the job done. Though you can't play on "newer" servers with your friends.
