I'm interested to learn more about vb and cpp; included in my learning process, I find ease in a community dedicated to the topic (vb, cpp), as villavu is with its' community to simba. I think msdn might be a great choice, as I find more and more information snippets from their website. Any help on suggesting / finding the desired communities as stated prior would be much appreciated!
(No I'm not leaving in any way from villavu, or depreciating in activity :p I'm trying to expand my coding skillz!)
MSDN has some decent tutorials for vb and c#.net, but I've never checked their c++ guides. If you plan on using vb, you might want to think about using c# as well, rather than c++ as the two can work interchangeably with the .NET framework.
Want some C++ books?
I got like, 212 I think it was.

@NCDS thanks, I'll try to pick up C# too, and also learn as much as I can about this ``.NET "" framework. Granted it's, hopefully, nothing deathly difficult to learn, C# and the .NET framework (both of which I'm blank on information so far, but I'll dive into soon). Thanks again for the information!
@NKN are they e-books? I'd love a look at them, but is there also a `` right "" way to look at them / use them? I mean if they're like a pdf file, is it just a link to a pdf file online? (This is, of course, me assuming the books are e-books). But yeah, if you could guide me, so to speak, on how to use those resources, I'd be overjoyed!

They're all PDF's or CHF's(I think it's CHF).
They're for game programming tho, so e.e
Want them still?

Ah it's okay, I'm not into (yet?) game programming. Still lingering around/studying the beginner's guides I find >.<
The one I'm reading is a beginner guide. ;)
First two or three chapters are learning about the basic library, and strings,integers,stuff like that. Want that one? There are no graphics involved, it's a console program book.

Learn VB to understand the power of the .Net framework and the logic that's used. Then, switch to C# and leave VB behind.
