Hey, I was just wondering if an admin could perhaps delete my account?
I'd like to start fresh, with a clean slate and neutral to everyone.

I've decided not to be a leech, I've got a few scripting ideas, and I'm finally able to donate.

You can get your name changed, but pretty much no forums really delete accounts for log reasons..

also there's almost nobody who joined this site and instantly started giving and creating, those are rare cases.. most of the time (including almost all of the staff) they joined, leeched.. figured they wanted to make their own scripts and progressed from there

I wouldn't even worry about getting your account deleted, almost everyone here is willing to forgive and forget if you demonstrate that you are trying to be a more helpful and mature person.

I have no issues with you, appreciate your feedback on my scripts and don't see how a new account would give you a better standing amongst members. Sure, when I started here all I did was use scripts. I think we all did, but people change along with their attitudes and the way they carry themselves.

My recommendation - continue with this profile and just start giving back. It's really nice to see people go from script users to contributing community members.

You have to be who you are.

There is no way in hell that you would be able to please everyone around you, if you try you will be miserable. Speak your opinions even if it is wrong, just have an open mind not to just stand on your point because you believe it is right, if you receive evidence that you are wrong, then change your point of view and admit it if needed, else just move on and grow as a person. There is nothing wrong with changing your mind if you see what you believed or did was wrong. In fact, it only makes you more mature.

Good luck with your scripting and make many new friends.

It will come through in time, I'm not sure how the process works but I believe it is automated. Give it a couple of days, maybe a week at the most. If it's not through by then PM an admin.

It will take a small while (day or 2 maybe at most) and it will appear as will the perks. If it does not pm an admin and they will get it sorted out. I would suggest you pm an active admin or one on at the time if that is the case.

Don't worry about leeching that much it took me months to figure out how to give back to the community via a script :)

Just be a happy chappy and everything will be smoothed over.

I remember a thread where people had a look at their first posts and were like: "Wow, is that really me?". (almost) Everyone changes during their stay at villavu, nothing to be ashamed about!

Your account is in good standing from a moderator's perspective. You're fine.

That being said, it is against the rules to create a second account, and if caught, both could end up being permanently banned.

Joey actually makes a good point - I look at most of the public scripts and think they are beyond anything I could do myself, and I haven't thought of a simple unique script yet.
I've just started playing around trying to make a very simple superheater though, it's going slow. :p

Fixing outdated scripts and making very simple scripts that have already been done (you can use released ones for ideas on how to do things) are two really easy ways to get into scripting with this community.

I don't think anybody started out here making insanely technical scripts at the beginning, maybe some did, but the odds are they had prior programming knowledge.

Truth. I'm a good example, I think. I pulled some stupid sh*t, and I asked for forgiveness, and I still, to this day, am making sure that I deserve the forgivenness I was given.
