I was reading some of the stuff on RS and I stumbled across this

Sailing sounds like the dumbest skill ever.

If I recall, they said the next skill released will be actually 2. One that requires gathering something, and the other using that to train the skill.
Kinda like woodcutting/fletching, farming/herbalore, fishing/cooking, mining/smithing and or w/e else there is.

I've been saying that optimus was already implemented into the systems since like May or June and everyone has just called me paranoid.

sounds like a really great idea none the less, buy able skills are so easy to max…trainable skills are tough….

It's going to be something like captaining(giving people money/resources to explore for yo) and then exploring(going to the places they discovered and using the valuable stuff). That's what Mod Mark had talked about. I'm not sure where, might be that 1-hour podcast with runeshark.

They should make a skill called Legiting, Since they basicly accepted bots into the game..

I swear to god anybody who says sailing next skill I want to punch them in the face. I've been playing from 2004 and noobs keep saying every year : "yay sailing new skill or carpenry"…wtf how the hell would you know if jagex hasn't given any hints

Sailing has been a joke skill recommendation since Runescape's conception. Anyone that takes it seriously is just letting the joke go way over their head ;)

Yea, it's just a misconception by the players. The update some people here have mixed it with are player-owned ports. However, that is not a skill ;)
