I have a ps3 in my house that i do not play, my kids play it occasionally, but i used to watch a lot of movies through the ps3 connecting to the libary on my computer, recently it stopped working, and i cannot get the ps3 to find my computer on its little networking thingy, media servers or something, it detects my wife's laptop, but it cannot detect my main pc, the one with all the movies on it.

I have searched all over the interwebs for answers to my problem, and i can not for the life of me figure it out. I have norton internet security 2012 i believe, running windows 7 on both the laptop and pc. everything is up to date etc, also apparently there is a program called tversity that allows you to do exactly what i want, but it costs $30, not willing to pay that and i cannot find a crack or anything along those lines.

Anyone with some info to help towards my hair pulling out situation, I have playstations, they have always caused me problems, xbox's never have anything wrong!

I don't know which TVersity you were using, because it is free. And if has suddenly become not free, go to tpb.fl.ax and download it and install it.

Force it to use correct IP Address on PS3 Media Server. Or you could try to use Universal Media Server.

thanks guys, i did search on pirate bay a few days ago for tversity but nothing came up, i must have just mispelled it because i just downloaded it and it is now working via tversity.

I would still also like to know how to get this working without using tversity. Thanks!
