Would anybody be able to throw a rough estimate for 99 range using chins from 87?

I wasn't able to get a reliable estimate

I read 80-99 would be 45 - 60k chins, but i think maxed people would know more accurate numbers.

From 80-99 I used about 45k chins.
I used range void with deflector, armadyl plate (can use pernix too), archer's ring/neckless, glaivens, accumulator.

what alternatives are there other than using void? its like 15% extra damage or something isnt it? how much extra chins would you guess you would use without void?

I'm down to provide the best set up so any advice would be sweet :)

If you ever plan to train slayer, I'd suggest just doing slayer task and using a cannon when you can.
You'll easily get 99 range along the way, but if you don't you can always finish the rest with chin.

I've trained all my combats stats before training slayer and I can tell you that it was a waste of time.

This is really good advice. As far as I'm concerned, there are only three reasons why you should get 99 ranged:

1) You're 99 slayer and don't intend on ever using a cannon again.
2) You do a lot of Nex.
3) You got a Hex drop in dg.

Other than that, it is a waste of xp.

Unfortunately I'm 77 slayer and currently don't have enough time/ passion to slay for 99…

Well then you should slay, if you intend to get a max cape.. You do what you want though.

No offense, but if you truly intend to max, you will be doing a lot of slaying. Serious slaying involves the use of a cannon and then you will be kicking yourself for having 99 ranged. I recommend doing a task or two a day. It is much more bearable, and the xp will add up. I also put all of my lamps, tomes, etc. into slayer.

What 99's do you currently have? I can recommend some that are pretty easy and/or fast as an alternative.

On a side note; buy a ton of chins and get a ton of extreme range pots…and get 99 range, not very hard when its like 300-600k per hour, I average aroudn 600k a hour with range xp I'm at like 87m xp in range but stopped after the amount of players who are at the locations.

But if your goal is to get 99 then do slayer unless xp is a factor then do chins.

I currently have 17 99's.

The ones left to max are slayer, summoning, crafting, smithing, mining, range, hunter and farming.

I would have bought crafting and smithing a long time ago but I was hacked for 600m and I haven't fulled recovered at all to make enough.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

Benny i'm going to PM you a bunch of options.

A few calculations-
Average of 300xp/ Chin = 300k/1k = 300k xp/XM (Where X is the price of a chin * 1000)
87 Ranged = 3M xp approx,
99 (13M) - 87 (3M) = 10M XP / 300k = 33 Sets of chins, 1k in one set (33.333k Chins)

So yeah, on average of ~35k Chins.

I chinned from 85-99 couple years ago. Costed me something like 25-30m i think.
