iPhone 4
iOS 4.3.3 (8J2)
Model Firmware 04.10.01 (Baseband)

Anything at all that I can do to unlock it?

I think ultrasn0w via Cydia is the only/best way, but it doesn't work with my baseband.

Do not want to buy a SIM unlocker hardware etc.

I got an iPhone 4 with 04.11.18 and gave up on trying to unlock it for now. Going to try to ask AT&T to factory unlock it, apparently there's a high chance they will if your iPhone is out of contract.

Just looked up your iPhone and gevey is the only way: it's an external sim or something. Source here: http://www.iphoneforums.net/forum/iphone-unlocking-69/unlock-iphone-4-4-3-3-baseband-04-10-01-possible-please-help-42845/

Is there a way to downgrade it? I think there is an unlock for downgraded versions right?
(Haven't used an apple device in ages :P)

What do you mean unlock it? I'm confused here?

Unlocking is the ability to use any SIM card. Most phones are already unlocked, but not the Iphone, so you cannot put a Sprint SIM in an Iphone you got with At&t.

Ohhh.

My sister had to do something like that.
Took it to a retailer, and they transferred everything from one SIM card to the other.

I had a similar issue a while back, I had received an iPhone that was from Switzerland, so it was locked into a Swiss phone company.
I had to actually get to know someone in Switzerland to get it unlocked.
I know that this isn't of much help, I might even have a different understanding of what you mean when you say it's locked.

I also know that you said that you don't want to buy any hardware or anything, but worse case scenario, here's this website. It's 100% completely legit, free postage ect. I think it may help… But again, just if you can get it unlocked.

If you have been with your company for a good while, you could call them and ask them to unlock it. This will obviously not work with a new-ish iphone.

You cannot unlock it at all. Carrier unlock only. Gotta call in. Fortunately for moi, I kept my 01.59.00 baseband which is the only version for the I4+ that can be unlocked atm. Other basebands require a Piggyback sim unlock. Gevey sim is one of them.

I am very Familiar with DealExtreme, I am seeing some SIMs that claim to unlock iPhone 4, and some reviews seem okay too, but for something like this I'd want to be extra sure it works before purchasing… :/

So yeah, looks like I can't do anything with my baseband then D:

I like DealExtreme, such a brilliant site.
Anyway man, I think that might be your only option, they DO work… The question is how much is it worth to you?
I'll send you a message and we can worth something out, yeah?
