Runescape Add-on's

This is an odd little thought I just had, and I'll try to follow my string of thinking as to how I got here and see what you all think.

When watching iDungeon pro, I noticed that it is able to know things that it shouldn't know, instantaneously, I'm guessing somehow from the code of the game (I know nothing technical wise, and this is purely speculation, so go along with it for now :p). For example, the instant it enters a dungeon, it may say "Upgrading your boots to tier 8", even though it can't see the table the boots are on, and they are underneath other items.

So when thinking about this, and thinking about how my friend used to tell me about all the addon's that people used to have to use for WOW from third party websites, I got to wondering - why aren't there any add-on's for people to play legit and give them an advantage on Rs?

I don't know the limitations of how far a bot like iDungeon can see something that we can't, etc. etc., but there has to be at least ONE useful thing it can do.

Like a really long range cool one would be like when playing castle wars, to have a Castle wars add-on that when your flag is captured, it is displayed up in the right corner of your screen where it is. Ex: "Underground middle, Going north", or "West rocks, going north". This isn't toooo terribly good of an example, as that is extremely long range and I doubt that could be found out merely by code, but there has to be some kind of use, right?

Post what you think, If you think I'm crazy or not, and if you're knowledgeable on how iDungeon sees these things then maybe let us know what extent it could be used! Thanks :)

If I'm not wrong, iDung uses powerbot. They had IDs of every items displayed there, whether or not it is covered by another item. They use ID, unlike us, we use colors or some other object finding method.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong :p

With OpenGL this could become more possible….

Nope that's right :p, question is - how far does it go and what can it be used for O.O

Looking forward to that ;).

I used to use a farming script back with Rsbuddy, and it would be able to tell if a plant needed watered, a herb was diseased or grown, and so forth, all while chopping ivy at the south fally wall. So if it could tell things half way across thaqt map i think possibilities are near endless.

If you use a client that shows id's you could do this I am sure.

OpenGl can't do everything injection does.

OpenGl is limited to what it can display. Some of the models are pre drawn up to a certain distance (like maybe 1-2 minimap away?) but beyond that it can't find anything.

Nah you can only get ogl stuff when it is visible on screen, eg if a tiny bit of a chair was onscreen and the rest was off-screen you would be able to get it. Its not like injection when potential you can scan items 64 tiles radius away I think it is.

Injection can only get things that are loaded, so things that are nearby…

Models are predrawn in an area. So you can find them even though they are out of view, but I do not know how far models are predrawn.

^is this true o.o?

If so , then that would be pretty cool if farming could be implemented into different scripts (not saying necessarily our simba scripts) so it knew when things were ready, or needed attended to.

I just find it interesting, idk why.
