SMART won't come up.

Autopsy

I've been having so many issues with Simba lately, I stopped botting for a few months and now nothing is working right. I've updated Simba to 0.99, checked for updates for the extensions. When I try to run MSI, SMART won't even come up. No error message or anything. Just won't come up. This problem is actually new, a few days ago SMART worked but none of my scripts did. Lol. Should I just uninstall, delete C:/Simba and try a clean install or what? A guide or explanation at least for a clean install with links to the threads with the new plugins and whatnot would be great, because I honestly don't know what else to do. Simba does not like me right now. -.-

Yeah your better of doing a completely fresh install.
Un-install simba and delete everything to do with simba, making sure to save your scripts :p.
After you have done that download the latest version of simba here http://nala.villavu.com/downloads/simba-prev/a9c68dcf15dde9c75531ddeaa5c98ac342442b45/
Enable the extensions you want in Simba. After restarting Simba, update the extensions then close Simba and re-open.
If you have already downloaded SMART 8 then copy and paste all the files for SMART into the Simba plugins folder.
Make sure you have,
SRL_SixHourFix := True;
Smart_FixSpeed := True;
in the setup part of your script and not,
Smart_Members := False;
Smart_Server := 11;
Smart_Signed := True;
Smart_SuperDetail := False;
If you get an error that brings up SmartParams in a new tab then edit this line of code,
Line 285  Result:= SmartSpawnClient(ReplaceWrap(PluginPath, '\', '/', [rfReplaceAll]), Params[0], ',' + Params[1], 765, 553, 's', '', '', -1);
Just remove (, -1) at the end so it looks like this,
Line 285  Result:= SmartSpawnClient(ReplaceWrap(PluginPath, '\', '/', [rfReplaceAll]), Params[0], ',' + Params[1], 765, 553, 's', '', '');
I hope that helps :)

Simba Code:
SRL_SixHourFix := True;
Smart_FixSpeed := True;

in the setup part of your script and not,

Simba Code:
Smart_Members := False;
Smart_Server := 11;
Smart_Signed := True;
Smart_SuperDetail := False;

What is that? ^

Lines 267- 275 when I open MSI. Is that what you're talking about?

// initialize SMART and clear it's canvas

{$IFNDEF SIMBAMAJOR990}
SMART_Server := 10;
SMART_Members := False;
SMART_Signed := True;
SMART_SuperDetail := False;
{$ENDIF}
{$ENDIF}

Don't worry about that unless your making your own script :p sorry.
If you have downloaded your scripts make sure they are up to date with the new simba and smart otherwise you will encounter problems.
MSI might not be updated yet ? I wouldn't know as I haven't used it in quite a while.
Please make sure you don't double or even worse TRIPLE post, edit your other post instead ;).

I usually only use the ones that came with Simba. SMART still isn't loading though.

EDIT: I open MSI, click the arrow and get this in the debug box.

[Error] C:\Simba\Includes\SRL/SRL/Misc/SmartParams.Simba(274:134): Invalid number of parameters at line 273
Compiling failed.

EDIT2: Deleted the "-1" and got this.

[Error] C:\Simba\Includes\SRL\SRL\Misc\SmartParams.Simba(70:8): Unknown identifier 'RSReady' at line 69
Compiling failed.

Not sure why that's saying that :confused: I have that in mine and its working fine. Try using an updated script and see if you get any errors.
Edit: make sure you update SRL

Change smartparams as it tells you to in the SMART v8.0 thread and save. Then try running the script.

Tried that one, same issue.

Going to try another random one and see if the problem persists. Will update in a couple minutes.

Can you copy the part that you're talking about? I can't find it.

RSReady is in login.simba so I can't see why it wouldn't find it. Make sure if simba is install to C:/simba that you run simba as admin. If you don't want to do that everytime then install simba to your desktop ;)

Hello all, it's time for a major revision bump due to some pretty significant changes and improvements.
Say hello to v8.0 (needs Simba 0.99 or later), but first, some things worth pointing out:

  1. Java must be on your path now, since the new out-of-process launching method that made most of the improvements possible uses java.exe directly. Look up a guide to add java.exe to your path if you're not sure how. As a result, only the plugin for Simba needs to be a compiled library now (along with native methods for the Java side), and most of SMART is in a jar now, which is just better. A side effect of this is:
  2. Arguments to SmartSpawnClient changed but only slightly:
  3. function SmartSpawnClient(remote_path, root, params: string; width, height: integer; initseq, useragent, javaargs: string): integer;
    The first five arguments are required, the last three can be left as empty strings.
    • initseq should be 's' to start in Safe Mode
    • useragent can set a specific useragent for SMART to use if you're paranoid
    • javaargs are anything you want to pass to java.exe (e.g. max memory settings or other command line args). N.B. this isn't implemented for linux (yet) but most everyone uses windows or wine on linux (which is the same as windows as far as SMART is concerned).
  4. Uses the same spawning/pairing scheme as v7.2 so there won't need to be a rewrite of the code that manages SMART in SRL (with the exception of the argument change mentioned above). In-process functionality is removed in this version, but it is far inferior to out-of-process functionality anyway.
  5. Other rendering modes work now with the caveat that only Safe Mode will provide color data to Simba (as has always been the case). Along with that, and in preparation for a possible future where other rendering modes can provide color data, there is a new element on the GUI that lets you select the running mode (SafeMode is default). This does, however, let you run OpenGL mode in SMART so that you can use interception, which could mitigate the need for color information anyway.
  6. Significant performance enhancements specifically for image transfer. It's at least 2x as efficient now using new functionality in Java 6 (since RS requires that you use it, anyway). Speed improvements for debug image and initialization as well.
  7. FPS bar no longer introduces lag in the client and only controls the rate at which SMART updates Simba's image buffer. The default should be fine for everyone, and as a side effect RS loads MUCH faster now.
  8. Pairing immensely more stable compared to v7.2, which was a nice test run, but didn't work as well as I expected on windows. All bugs related to trying to pair to already paired clients and leaving zombie processes SHOULD have been fixed. (Thanks to Brandon for testing all this on an actual windows machine for me.) Further, the pairing logic is simplified, streamlined, and just better in general.
  9. Numerous other (trivial) bugfixes so this SMART should be the most stable out there. Apologies for my accelerated development/release schedule (I feel like I pulled a Mozilla), but everything should be good now.

OK. I got it. Started the MSI script. CMD prompt comes up saying SMART is starting but it's not loading. Still.

Try changing this
{$IFDEF SMART}
{$IFNDEF SIMBAMAJOR990}
SMART_Server := 10;
SMART_Members := False;
SMART_Signed := True;
SMART_SuperDetail := False;
{$ENDIF}
{$ENDIF}
to
{$IFDEF SMART}
{$IFNDEF SIMBAMAJOR990}
SMART_Server := 10;
SMART_Members := False;
SMART_Signed := True;
SMART_SuperDetail := False;
{$ENDIF}
SRL_SixHourFix := True;
Smart_FixSpeed := True;
{$ENDIF}
In MSI and save it. See if that works

When you click the PrtScrn button on your keyboard it saves it to your clip board. Just open paint and click the paste tab in there and it should fill paint with your print screen. Click the selection tool and select the area you want to show then right click and select cut or copy. After you have done that click new in paint and dont save, then when you have a new canvas click the paste tab again and you should have only have the bit you selected in paint. Save that and there is your photo to show :p

Hes asking what version you have, 6 or 7 ?
If you have 7 that could be causing the problem. 6 has no problems trying to runs SMART

EDIT:

I don't know how to do that.

To set the path, right click on my computer and go to properties then click on 'advanced system settings' you should then have a System Properties window pop up. Click on 'Environment Variables' and another window should come up. Under where it says System Variables there is a box with a scroll bar, scroll down than box until you find path. Highlight 'path' and click edit, you should now have another window come up called Edit System Variables. To the right of Variable value: should be some text you can edit, click on the text and using the right arrow key scroll to the end of the text and ADD AT THE END OF THE TEXT
;C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin
Then click ok, ok and ok.

Edit: nice desktop image btw :p haha. It looks like its just not spawning the client strange.

Ok the path is set. It's still doing the same.

I went to Java.com - You have the recommended Java installed (1.7.0_06).
I'm guessing that's 7? Can I revert back to 6 somehow to see if that works?

EDIT: I've downloaded version 6, and unchecked the enabled box for version 7. That's all I need to do right?

EDIT: I'm uninstalling java completely then downloading the latest update of Version 6.

I would personally just un-install java 7. Make sure you have Java 6.33 and that should be fine.
I tried java 7 and it didn't work, I forgot about that. I should of remembered lol :duh:

Yeah your better of doing a completely fresh install.
Un-install simba and delete everything to do with simba, making sure to save your scripts :p.
After you have done that download the latest version of simba here http://nala.villavu.com/downloads/simba-prev/a9c68dcf15dde9c75531ddeaa5c98ac342442b45/
Enable the extensions you want in Simba. After restarting Simba, update the extensions then close Simba and re-open.
If you have already downloaded SMART 8 then copy and paste all the files for SMART into the Simba plugins folder.
Make sure you have,
SRL_SixHourFix := True;
Smart_FixSpeed := True;
in the setup part of your script and not,
Smart_Members := False;
Smart_Server := 11;
Smart_Signed := True;
Smart_SuperDetail := False;
If you get an error that brings up SmartParams in a new tab then edit this line of code,
Line 285  Result:= SmartSpawnClient(ReplaceWrap(PluginPath, '\', '/', [rfReplaceAll]), Params[0], ',' + Params[1], 765, 553, 's', '', '', -1);

I hope that helps :)
