Sweet, I might have to use it some. I've given out very few infractions before, but this might be the right time to get used to it. :p

It's so we (ssrl) can defend against spam bots before they can make multiple threads. As SSRL, we aren't supposed to be able to ban people, though. However, after so many infraction points a user is suspended from the forums for 2 weeks (?).

yes the staff are the only ones allowed to ban for other reasons then spambots. NCDS is correct it is possible to temp ban 3 times and perm ban off of infractions alone. As always if the post deserves a infraction don't feel bad giving the user one even if it will result in a temp ban.
