SRL Archive - S.M.A.R.T. Questions and Answers.

My simba is fully updated and I have extracted the binaries to my plugin folder, however when I try to run a script I get this error:

[Error] C:\\Simba\Includes\SRL\SRL\misc\smart.simba(55:19): Invalid number of parameters at line 54
Compiling failed.

Line 54 is: SmartSendKeys(S);
Line 52: (S:String; keywait{$IFNDEF SIMBAMAJOR980}, keymodwait{$ENDIF}: integer);

Edit: Looked around and found my problem, script should say {$DEFINE SMART}.

same can't get simba to work

In the file SmartParams.simba (C:\Simba\Includes\SRL\SRL\misc\SmartParams.simba), do the following:

At line 285, you should see the following:

Result:= SmartSpawnClient(ReplaceWrap(PluginPath, '\', '/', [rfReplaceAll]), Params[0], ',' + Params[1], 765, 553, 's', '', '', -1);

Remove the -1 at the end so that it look like this:

Result:= SmartSpawnClient(ReplaceWrap(PluginPath, '\', '/', [rfReplaceAll]), Params[0], ',' + Params[1], 765, 553, 's', '', '');

Save the file and restart simba.

SMART 8.0 should now work proprely.

Do the Parameters change weekly now? Because just last week I had a problem with SmartParams and did nothing to cause it. Fixed it, then today i had another problem where SmartParams popped up with an error saying "invalid number of parameters" or something similar like that. Followed this advice and it works now. Should I expect another error next week? Kind of annoying :wacko:

I don't think it has been updated in the SRL repository yet (not sure) so when you get an SRL update it will over write what you have edited.

Might be a very noob question but, why does my smart.simba only have 160 lines?

Oh, yeah I just found that out. I tried force updating everything to try and fix a problem I was having with a script compiling. After everything force updated the same problem came up. So whenever you update/force update for now you should expect this problem until it is fixed in the updates. Well, not that bad now since I know what causes it :cool:
