What are your thoughts?

It will be a nice change but JaGex will suffer heavily

Played the Beta, loved it. :)

I played the beta and to be honest, I did not like the fact about the specials being removed from weapons, the new bar, and the way the combat lvls are going to work.

I just will skill :P gonna try and get rid of slayer over summer and then just skill before quitting

How will the combat levels work?

I'm neutral about it, I do enjoy playing the beta, but I don't think eoc is that much more fun than how it is now.

meaning the max lvl will be 200 because 99 + 99 + 2 = 200

Yeah I think that is pretty stupid though.

On, the botting side of things.. botting (non-combat skills) should be easier after it comes out. Right? Because you can assign hotkeys for certain actions such as alching, dropping items (ores, logs, fish), and other various, useful stuff. All you have to do is drag the action/items to the action bar and assign it a hot key. So all you would have to do to alch stuff is press "1" for example lol.

Any other thoughts on this part of the update?

well that sucks, no more pures =[
everyone can tribrid and have the same combat level as a pure. unless of course the pure has no def

so having an account with 99 atk, str, range, mage, hp, prayer, summoning would be the strongest level 102 possible

Just like any other major update ill rage about it for a couple day then accept the fact that it is here to stay, then try to adjust myself to gradually become used to it.

Well, i'm a veteran world of warcraft player…
I've played WoW for like 2000 hours+.

I always hoped runescape would get a likewise combat system, and free movement.
But it seems that jagex is not really just copy/pasting it… sadly.

I've tried the EOC today, and it doesn't really respond quite as i expected, and i just isn't that that.

I hope jagex reduces the button lagg, and makes it more viable, so that you only make good damage by using the skills, and that you can use them like every second.

I hope they get rid of autocasting for mages, and just go with a castbar for casting spells. (Like 3second cast bar, for one spell, that does major damage.)
This would make pvp interesting like in WoW, with like interupts from melee and so on.

It's a good step forward, but i hope they really balance things out better.
Melee still is to OP (I have 83 magic, and 80 in Melee skills, but still i produce a HELL lot of more DPS doing Melee.)

I didnt like the beta at all. I mean, the idea is great, its ok if they change the whole combat system, but this needs some fixes and improvements. Im not gonna quit I try to adapt to it. Scripting combat will be much funnier! :)

I haven't played the beta yet. Trying to max out before the release of the EoC. I want to work on getting 50m Mining and Smithing xp at LRC after it is released though because the dropping will be so quick

I heard you can get like 200k xp/hr just by like normallykilling stuff? Tis be true?

this update will go from good old runescape to noob wowscape. I have been playing 8+ years and I have seen runescape evolve and I know jagex would do something like runescape clasic if they were to add this update because honestly this would kill everything everyone has done till now. What they should do is use the game and make two branches one with the new look and one with the old but keep both with active staff and the ability to create accounts so it doesnt die so bad like runescape clasic.

Do you know what the rates are for Slayer? I'm trying to max before the update, and Slayer is going to be the last skill for me.

i maxed my combat last fall… im glad i wont have to when this comes lol
