After the recent powerbot server upgrade i haven't been able to access the website. Sorry to ask here but i'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. On their twitter it says you gotta wait for dns to update… is there a way to do this manually?

Click on Start > Command Prompt > and type in: ipconfig/flushdns and press enter to fix it…This fixes the issue..

Wow, really. Thanks guys. The only reason i asked this questions here is because i couldn't find an answer anywhere else. Clearly i can't ask on the actual forum because then i obviously wouldn't be having this problem would I?! God… i asked here because I've gotten to know a lot of you and i know there are a lot of great guys here that always help. Oh and if you're retarded enough to actually think that I'm asking a question about a…. makes me laugh everytime sorry…. COMPETING COMMUNITY… bhahahha… sorry. Reflection and color are two different FAWKING things. This is not a BOT and i don't consider it one. Powerbot is a place where you come to either goldfarm or pay for quality BOTS not scripts to develop your pixel in bulk either to sell or whatever.

Relax, nobody is hiding stuff from you because powerbot is a 'competing' community.

We just don't know crap about powerbot because most of us don't give a damn about powerbot.

The actual DNS servers need to update, not the DNS cache on the computer, so I have no idea why you would suggest that command and also claim that it "fixes the issue".

I don't use IE. I have been using chrome since i heard about it. Well occasionally switching in between chrome and firefox but mainly chrome.

You answer is to wait…they are moving their stuff over.

Powerbot is temporarily down because they are updating the server host. It shouldn't be down for much longer.

From Sythe….also try this http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1446015 its a "quick" fix. I don't even use powerbot, but I found this information with a 5 min search….come on and don't be a dick.

Is because this type of thread is not uncommon. Every week or two another one pops up "RSBot down! Bot nuke??" or "RSBot is down for me??? DDOS??"
AS far as "Competing community" goes, if anything we are their competition but they are really just another website to us. SRL doesn't relay on the masses using the bot because there is no money involved in using it.
The primary reason that RSBot gets slack from some people here is due to the terrible shape that the community used to be (I do not know what it is like now so I wont generalise the current user base).

As far as your issue goes, if http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1446015 doesn't work for you then just wait for a while and it will come back up ;)

This. It usually takes 24 - 48 hours for it to switch.

Exactly! I'm sure hundreds of people use Kiko's Dungeoneering Bot as well as their Frost Dragon Bot.

yeah I use powerbot for Idung but everything else I need and love is here at SRL.

One final thing, last night there was a bit of a hiccup with the whole powerbot but since then it's smoothed out :)

Im glad your issue has been realised but i would like to also say Powerbot is not and will never be our competition. Maybe if we were a business and wanted money then they would be. SRL is for (free)knowledge and powerbot is for buying your way to the "end goal" without learning.I personally believe there is nothing wrong with that but I chose learning.

;) just got 97 on both accounts today but i'm waiting for the next update to be pushed as it's a bit buggy atm

The only reason i mentioned the competition part is because i've seen "respected members" say it in countless amounts of threads when people asked simple questions about something that doesn't have to do with SRL. I respect your choice in learning how to script instead of leeching that's awesome. Have a good one.

What method are you using to max combat.

Troll invasion. Getting 85k+ xp an hour with bandos, fury, berserker, nezzy, claws. No fcape though. That was my exact plan also. I wanted 99 dung then get charms to maul for charms to get yak at least.
