I've been curious how I check to see what my Ping is when using Simba logging into RS; Before I'd load a regular RS client check my ping status of the world and then translate that over to Simba client. But all my worlds show - or N/A

Ya, you have to wait awhile before n/a turns into a number lol. It's annoying. After awhile it should show all the pings though. Either that or log into a world for a little then go back to the lobby then they should be there

7 frames per second is brutal, aim for 30.

IDK how to aim for higher? What can I do? I have 8gigs of ram on my computer, nothing else is running I just logged onto team-viewer to check everything out…
I restarded simba and right now I am at 11 fps; what can I do to obtain 30?
I also have the bar on the right hand side all the way up too.

I am calling up my internet now to upgrade to 10mbs, I have 1mbs right now its "roadrunner light" I tried to be a cheap-skate so it shows
1mb to 10mb DONE. Just got off the phone with the rep I'll check my internet in about 25mins to see if I see a difference.
With out finding a decent world, I'm at 24fps but thats better then the 7fps I was getting LOL.

Things that increase your FPS:
-good internet connection
-good graphics card/RAM
-playing RS on lowest graphics and smallest screen size
-playing on good world with low ping
I usually run at 35-40 FPS on average and when Jagex doesn't have their servers screwed up. I play on MAX graphics settings and on DirectX
PS: I have 1 mbps internet also, so internet speed isn't the final factor. Having a good computer>internet speed. My friend has an internet speed upwards of 25 mbps, but a crappy computer. He gets like 15-20 fps on average on lowest graphics settings
EDIT: Just checked and I actually have 5 mbps internet speed and didn't know it :P

Much better! I cant believe you played runescape with 7 fps. my internet is ~50 mbps, and im always above 30 fps, so I could never play at that speed!
E: i'd like to add FPS and Ping are completely different things. Ping is the speed at which your computer sends and recieves packets of information. FPS is the amount of frames your computer will show per second, which will result in a smoother image.
Both should be improved with your improved internet conection, just thought i'd point that out.

I'venever really payed attention to ping, you shouldnt worry too much about it. With good ping, the game should run smoothly. Just judge yourself, if you find the game too laggy, lower your game settings, and if the problem persists, consider upgrading your RAM, and graphics card.

Can you tell me how I can check my ping? I cant get anything to wiork to check ping….
EDIT: Viewing my FPS dont show my ping, everything says N/A this is more annoying then anything else.
Scripting wise I usually use something like this simple to calculate Ping if pings are not shown up in RS.
It's for me +/- 10 off.
program new;
var
I, C: Integer;
begin
for I := 1 to 139 do
begin
C := GetTickCount;
GetPage('http://world' + IntToStr(I) + '.runescape.com');
C := GetTickCount - C;
WriteLn('World ' + IntToStr(I) + ' Ping ' + FloatToStr(C div 7.0));
end;
end.

It does the same for me. I'm not aware of a fix, but you can always submit a bug report to Jagex.
^Now thats interesting.

either or. if you run it in SMART, u need to add declare players and loginplayer.

Open command line/terminal and type "ping world##runescape.com".
You can ping all servers this way without opening Simba/SMART.

If you are checking your FPS Via TV then it will show as very low due to the way TV functions. As soon as you disconnect it will go back up to 30+
My script, you can run it without RS open or anything like that..
