Cracking an iPod pass code

Hey guys, I eases wondering if when you set a pass code, is it possible to crack it using programs that explore the iPods inner files? I imagine it must be stored in some file, somewhere. Anyone ever tried this?

If Not already Jailbroken then Jailbreak it and during the jailbreak install custom DEB file of OpenSSH.

the default root password is alpine.

Access it via SSH and delete the /private/var/Keychains/keychain-2.db along with the wildcard.plist and activation record.

Reboot twice. A new keychain will be generated. You'll have to plugin to itunes to get it to get you a new one. If the simcard isn't official carrier sims then it'll stay locked else the phone will boot up and you'll have access to the springboard.

If it's not official then you'll have no choice but to unlock it during the jailbreak and hacktivation if it isn't already done and there is a possible chance that doing this may not work at all since it may not be able to generate proper keys; in which case you're out of luck (Restore).

Did this kinda stuff back in the day inorder to get the iPhones back to lost owners. Don't use my advice to hack someone's iPhone -__- please.

That's some really good information :p

If it's already jailbroken you could probably hope the ssh daemon is running and try logging in from there the way it is
