So i Logged onto my rs account the otherday to find that I have been permanently muted. The sad thing is, there was no evidence to why I was. I appealed but it failed so I guess it is time for me to say goodbye. First of all I would like to that this community, and all those script writers who put in their own time to benefit us all. Last and foremost if anyone is interested in purchasing my account, feel free to pm me. I have no use for it anymore, it may be muted but it is well quested and high stats. feel free to look at my runetrack just search 'iputout4gp'. all main quests have been completed up to rotm. Also there is about 80-100m worth of rsgp on it. so pm me if you are interested!

I didn't know they would give perm mutes anymore. Did you have many previous offences on the account? I have accounts that have been muted like 10+ or 20+ times and still not permanent.

Best thing to do is to contact RuneScape via Twitter and get them to un-mute you. Works for me.

Muting doesn't stop ya that much mate:) Once beta come out every one will seems like they are muted :)

That's really weird, if you need an excuse to stop playing then take this, if not then email them or something.

Lol are you out of your mind? Perm mute allows you to bot without worrying about reports because you can't talk unless you use quickchat!

If it was a bs mute with no real reason, contact rs on twitter. It seems to be the fastest and most reliable way to get unmuted. Make sure you say things like "this game was really fun and I cannot understand why I was muted, it has unfortunately ruined the game for me as I play for the social aspect (bs you do, you bot ;) ) and unless I am able to once again communicate with other players unfortunately I'm gong to have to quit rs :'( "

The one time my mining level 3 was banned and I pulled out some "I'm autistic and am afraid to speak with others." BS
I got unbanned- 3 weeks later got the perm ban again (hadn't been on the account since the ban was lifted and I cleaned it) :(

I wouldn't give up so easily, just keep submitting appeals.

Just say that you're going to cancel your membership if they don't unmute you. That should appeal to Jagex's greed.

I'd contact them on the forum, and keep being persistant untill they un do it.

Trust me i've had many friends who have done this recently and kept at it untill they had their perm mutes removed.
I dont find perm mutes as severe as macroing or scamming. Im sure you can get this resolved.

Is getting muted really worth quitting the game over :x

Seems like the perfect account to bot. How would you even get muted nowadays the only way i can think of is to like be racist or something. But yeah dude i recommend not selling the account, firstly people don't buy mains anymore because there extremely easy to recover and secondly when you decide to comeback… and you will, you will have to start over.

I was perm muted back in the day because I let a friend on my account.. I was dumb enough to mention that in my appeal and I got an offense for account sharing too. This was quite a long time ago, I believe I was maybe 10 years old at that time.

I had it bad dude. There was no quickchat, no grand exchange, I was cheap as heck so I bought rune skirts instead of rune platelegs and weird people would always ask me to be their girlfriend but I couldn't respond saying no you pedo I'm actually a guy. But then my ban expired… I managed to rough it out, and I suggest you do too.

I've tried everything, facebook, twitter, email, so many times I have tried to get it unmuted. I know it means i can bot without being caught, but like, what else can i do? what's the point? its a half decent account so if anyone wants it for gold farming, ect. Just hit me up with a pm and we can arrange it, its got 80m worth of shit on it. I know your not meant to sell accounts on this but mehh, might as well try and make back some of the money jagex took from me. Nah I won't be coming out, heading into year 12, played this game too long, and tbh all i did was bot, i never actually played it. I hate the Beta and yes I have tried the suicide thing but oh well, i guess its a time for me to continue on my way. But thanks for all the advice guys. Btw so many de-reps from buthurt prebs :P I enjoyed the game, did alot on my account and made it well, it was unfortunate it ended like this, but nothing can be done about it. :)
