just got scamed by user name I Am Host got hacked for about 25m im really confused to how i got hacked i have a idea but would like some feed back. ok heres the story this guy in game offers me 50m to be a host of his cold hot flower game then intives me to a skpye chat the kid sounded younger didnt think he would have hacking knowledge he says to find his forum on rs home page and so i do but cant find the page the kid sends a link on skype so i dont have to look i try to sign in but its just refreshes the page when i do minute or so later i lose connection to everything in my house internet wise so i reset my box when i get back online my pc says something about two computers using the same ip adress on my network when i log back into rs my char has lost all the stuff he was wearing bandos chest d legs d boots and fury ammy, f$@* me right,

The link he sent you was a phishing link. They are designed to look like RS but they are fake, they just steal your information. If you still have the link handy, PM me it, I'll see if I can round up the SRL Anti-Phish group and get the site shut down

yeh definately a phish, sorry to say but it is your own fault, you really can not trust anyone on the internet, just have to do everything yourself.

also the in game user name was I Am Host and there skpe names were colin.kieffer and nathan.barcharlk

Yeah, this happened to me a while back, except I had only ahrim's on which couldn't be traded because I had PKed in it :D

lol, same thing happened to me i filled in details to go fk demselves, they denied it was a phishing link lol, and then pointed out the exact line that sends the data as well as the font inconsistency, the wrong quick find code as well as a copy of the email i sent their isp =]

so everyone think im safe now with the pass change or and can someone explain to me more of how this made my internet lag out and ect?

Please remove the link from the post. They would of DDoSed your home connection offline so they were able to get your account offline.

You got ddosed by clicking the link and going to the phishing website.

if i am right, you entered your username and password into the website, which also gave them your ip, which they ddos'd you which made you disconnect so they could login.

That's pretty much a basic phish in a nut shell, some of the more basic ones will only steal the name and pass and simply wait for you to log off and hope you don't change it. The more advanced ones will be a RAT or JDK.

I feel sorry for you bro, these phishing sites are just waaay too common nowadays. Seems like every jumped up lvl 90 noob with access to google guides is trying to phish accounts.
