P2P Bans? I don't think. Here's why.

I see people all over the place constantly talking about bans. F2P, P2P, whatever. I don't have much else to say but think business. This US based company bought a huge part of Runescape. Look at the date when this was published.

1. January 9th, the trade takes place. New ownership.
2. From January 9th on… new owners think "What can we do to bring in more revenue?"
3. Squeal of Fortune released on February 28th. Obviously everyone knows it's strictly for revenue.
4. "What are these people complaining about botting?" Ok, let's make them happy…

So yeah. I wouldn't worry about getting banned on a P2P right now. ESPECIALLY if you're using Simba which uses color, all the more reason to feel safe. Just my take on it. Opinions?

Yeah, Which is why I have a slight feeling that if you buy a few spins a month, they will want to keep you, since your still making money for them. Being partially owned by the states ftw.

They need all the revenue they can get right now. Before the nuke, all the goldfarming accounts that were P2P generated so much money for them. Since they killed those, they need ways to make the money keep coming in.

Autoing isn't as huge as it was before the nuke. I mean, there are still tons of people autoing, but it doesn't match the scale before. So if you're autoing on a P2P account, you'll more than likely be safe. (At least if you're using Simba/SCAR/RiD. I don't know what they're going to do with the Injection clients)

Exactly. I wouldn't doubt that when Jagex was negotiating with this US based company, they showed them their numbers before and after the bot nuke it and explained to them the situation with bots. Wouldn't doubt it at all. If something like that did happen, the new company might have saw the numbers before the nuke and thought to themselves "Well hey, we'll just never ban P2P, let them generate revenue, and ban F2P every now and then to make the community happy."
