Just seen a lot of bots got banned:

you don't know this was bots being banned.

If it was we all know jagex would be screaming and celebrating

Someone in that thread suggested it was removal of some f2p players still in the hi-scores. They also noted that hunter hi-scores were still riddled with botters and that it's unlikely it was a mass-ban.

And as if Jagex wouldn't be raving about the fact they banned that many bots?!

Well if you go over to Powerbot a bunch of them are claiming that they got banned as well.

Would be good if the Hunter bots were taken down, but I know they haven't been. Will have to check my accounts later. I'm sure they're fine though :)

It was a mass bann, lots of f2p botters got banned today including 2 of my friends.
It seems that they only banned f2p bots because me and another friend are both member and safe.

my f2p coal miner was banned… There goes my herblore money :(

None of my Member accounts are banned, but I haven't auto'd on any of my accounts (Including F2P) in the last few months.

My main is safe..went 48k rank up.!!

Meh.. I went up 0 ranks :S Guess my rank is too high already..

They prob just banned/deleted the accounts they made to get their 200m crap.

This would be interesting…but I still stand by my theory of their system now. They WON'T ban P2P accounts because of their revenue situation. A new company bought a huge part of Runescape, and why? Revenue. That's why the SoF is here, the new General Store with RuneCoins, etc…..

I don't want to be proved wrong though… :p

Windows 8 Smartscreen and Avast 7 blocks it :S

I'm still using iDung though.. so i'll take that risk.

Had a f2p account going 24/7 @idung for about 2 weeks now, no ban.

I went up from 70,000 to like 65,000 in ranks

Rumor has it they only removed spam accounts, and cleared inactive memberships….This was the talk on HLF's….

My main account was one of the Members accounts gone f2p, but was still lingering on hiscores when I checked yesterday,(my membership ended a month ago) but now I'm not on the hiscores and my account isn't banned considering I'm online right now…

Could be both, especially if they are considering revamping the high scores again. (Not sure if they ever fixed the S U O M I glitch on the high scores).

@Brandon, thanks for the heads up. I don't even put my pin in on my lap top, so my idunging should be safe.

@People saying "Jagex would hype it up if it was a mass ban of bots". They have made numerous big ban waves within the recent years. Somtimes they didn't say anything, and sometimes it was just included in a little blip at the bottom of updates saying "other news: we banned a significant amount of botters and are continuing our efforts. So no, not necessarily.

And yes - I did hear it was a banning mostly of f2p gold farmers and other accounts of that nature. I am safe ^.^

Well I have like 10 accounts f2p atm and they all seem fine (only play on like 3). I didnt even notice it happened so Im happy people post stuff like this. Keep me informed :)

i just checked both those places, which both typically have massive amounts of bots there. they are all banned. i am happy, how is that trolling? i personally love bot nukes.

None of my accounts got banned… I guess that is because none of my bots act like other bots because a lot of my scripts im keeping private now… XD lol maybe they did just delete the 700k accs they made to get 200m lol idk. All of my accounts are going strong ;)

I love that http://ssl-gold4fun-powerbot….. loading address indicator at the bottom left in firefox every time you click into anything on their website. Yet they still troll their majority kids user base on how they are completely separate from gold4fun.

Kids are too gullible, easy targets for a con if you have no morals what-so-ever.

I wonder who is the next appointed "gh0st" while PB staff denies everything with a straight face.

Bottom line- if you used PB at the time when Jagex brought back Free trade (early 2011) chances are you got hacked. rest is just excuses, semantics and Red china propaganda.

Simba/ Scar on the other hand, has a longer history without any mass hacking.

What I believe he is trying to say is injection bots typically take a fair while to come back online after an update so it is possible that those bots haven't been banned but are just yet to return.

yeah i think the injection bots are just enjoying downtime

oh thank you for explaining. i just heard that 700k banned (i actually heard 1.25m) then i went around and saw that no bots were there, and was all like, hell yah. my brain didnt register that there were updates as well XD. my bad, still hope the is more mass bans to come!
