I cant help but share this email i recieved last night from Jagex. It appears anyone who has used RID in the past is now on the watch list and potentially will get banned. I used RID for a brief time when they were offering free agility cuz as most of us know agility sux! but oh well, i havent used there software in almost a year, but we will see what happens.

Dear Customer,

We have strong evidence that you may have purchased and used botting software in the past, specifically Robotz in Disguise software.

Botting and the cheating it brings is destroying your game, violates Jagex's rights under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and any player that continues to engage in botting activity has no place in our community.

All of your accounts, main and otherwise, are now on our watch list and will be monitored for Robotz in Disguise and all other inappropriate third-party software. Regardless of who you are or how long you've been with us, if you decide to cheat and bot ever again we will have no hesitation in: (1) permanently removing your account from our wonderful community in order to protect Jagex's rights, and (2) naming you as a defendant in Jagex Limited v. John Does, which is a lawsuit based on DMCA violations that is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (Civ. Action No. SANC-V12-00972-CGC).

If you decide to ignore this email and instead continue using botting software, we (Jagex Ltd) reserve our rights to pursue statutory damages against you for between $200 to $2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future real-world trading in accordance with 18 U.S.C. 1304©(2).

In addition, new infractions have been added to your RuneScape account. If left unchallenged your account will be temporarily or permanently suspended.

Please complete the following security form to monitor your account's status or to appeal the infractions you have recieved:

Please note: Due to recent technical problems, some accounts were unfairly punished. Most of the void infractions have been removed. You should visit the appeal section to appeal any unjustified infractions received due to system errors.

Yours sincerely, ,
Mark Gerhard.

Its a phishing email, (i.e. not from jagex, the sender is named jagex but if u check the source of message its not) i and many others receive tons of emails like these (eg. u are caught selling gold/acct/botting) and ask you to log in to a phishing site that imitate the official site but obviously all it does is to steal your password. If u really logged in with the url it gives u, change ur password immediately now.

Anyway i think hardly any1 here use rid, its also a color bot which means it offers no advantage over simba (we can make anything it has), so its a complete rip-off of ur $.

Gladly i did not click on the site it offered, knowing that ive done so much other botting in the past year than i ever did with RID. But the email did come from legal@jagex.com, could that be a phishing email still?

100s of emails like this are sent out daily, they are 99% fake and just by stupid kids trying to Phish people (steal/hack their accounts) they are not real at all.

Did the email contain any links at all? If so can you PM me one.

Well that certainly does make things a little easier on me. I knew people on here would be able to explain things better. Its just the things looked so real, especially since isnt jagex.com part of jagex ltd?
