This isn't as much of a request as it is a question and I'm not sure if this is the right section. Would it be possible to make a script that can look for specific names in the chatbox and then, if the name is spotted, respond to commands that were given by the user?

Yes, it is possible.

Check out the 'chat' include, there are a few functions (FindChatBoxText etc) to do this. If your 'respond to command' refers to replying then u can use TypeSend.
i.e.

if FindChatBoxText('hi suomi', 8, clBlue) then
  TypeSend('hi');

Doesn't that just respond to what people say in the chatbox? I was looking for it to respond when a specific person says something.

Then just include the ign in the text search.
