thank you. one more question about powerbot. Is possible to steal passwords by just loggin in using the powerbot? or they only have access to passwords that are put in account details?

Agree, however that doesn't protect you.. through reflection it's easy to get any details you have input.. (account and pass are required, so they can be gotten through reflection) pin isn't required so you should be safe from that

I'd always change my password after using any of the big name bots, as they seem to get "hacked" often

I was originally going to avoid it then I found out there is no apparent bot nuke this month so I put in place some precautions.
  • Changed to a throw away password that I will change when I am done
  • Installed a VM to run it in
  • Use onscreen keyboard for typing in password and user (obviously I don't save it in there

This should be sweet then, simply running iDung which also seems to be safe.
Seriously this thing is way better at dung then I am legit at dung ;o

Thanks for the help.

Just one question. Why the use of VM and onscreen keyboard? Whats the point? Is it safer in which way?

If you could tell me I would be appreciate

It's safe, I put my account info in it too
so it will rune for like 15 hours straight

it's safe, you can save your acc info too, you wont be safer by not doing it, and if you do you can run it longer than 6h.

I know this script is probably be safe but with a nearing maxed main I am not taking ANY chances.
The vm means that you generally don't need to worry about that standard rats as you can simply delete the vm.
The onscreen keyboard is because tracking you keystrokes in the login screen would be nearly as easy as stealing your info from the account info section.
I know Kiko is fairly trusted but it never hurts to be careful.

well just use a throwaway pw while botting and change it when ur done with ur chaotic or w/e, its not like they are going to drop ur ring of kinship and walk to a place faraway cuz its fun :/ You cant even change the password without the email so if you do the basic security that even jagex throws at you then there should be no chance getting "hacked" for ur account of ur stuff

Powerbot is cool but use at your own risk. Powerbot themselves never hacked anyone but a user by the name gh0st has hacked into a popular scripters bots (Arbiter) and stope geepeez that way. Alooooot of geeepeez.

I think due to the high demand powerbot gets, the server takes a while to load :s just my two cents

Well their macroing client is technically called RSBot, not powerbot, buuuut anyways…

I've went from 58-72 dung with iDung in the last couple days, it's quite a good script so far. Apparently it will stay free though because Kiko has already made a few 100k from it and is afraid of getting in trouble. Just don't have 1b or a phat or anything too valuable on your account is my advice. Better safe than sorry.

And I don't know why people are going to crazy over iDung. MasterDung has been out for a while, and it's also free and pretty darn good.
